ClayRender
Hi Yves, you think it's possible to create a possibility to disable "clay render" function for single materials? fe example if I'm doing an interiour I'd like to keep the glass as it is but all other materials overwritten with clay function. Maybe a checkbox in "extra options" called "overridable" t...

Re: Live Preview in Cinema 4D
You can also use the C4D Renderregion in combination with indigo to get sth like a live preview.
the only drawback is, you have to wait for cindigo's intern export.

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
@pibuz good start, but I think I don't feel comfortable with the extreme wide angle (guess it's below 20-18mm) maybe portrait orientation would lower that effect a little further DOF feels little too much, maybe due to focal lenght also try to add a nice exp map to floor material to get rid of the p...

Re: need help with Cinema4D fresnel
def eval(vec3 pos) vec3 : lerp( vec3(0, 0, 0), vec3(1.0, 1.0, 1.0), maxCosTheta() ) filled in an ISL Shader should do the trick the both vec3() are the fresnel colors as rgb (1.0=255) you can now blend your ISL Shader via "ISL Blend Shader" with the desired map or shader of your choice ;) best rega...

Re: YALR (Yet Another Living Room)
ok. where's your sun pointing at? referring to your first example image, the sun should mainly come from the left window.
looking at your rendering now, I think your sun is pointing same direction as your camera => this will cause your windows only to receive sky light, no sun.

Re: YALR (Yet Another Living Room)
Lighting was done this way (saw it on a tutorial') maybe you can show this tutorial, so we can tell what's wrong or right ;) I still don't get how you can make simple indigo sun/sky look like this. This is not meant to offend you, it simply looks wrong. maybe you adopted sth wrong from the tutorial...

Re: YALR (Yet Another Living Room)
yay... think there's lot of things to work on besides the carpet, but I'm sure we'll get you on the right track! ;) your lighting looks really... cg like. what is your main lightsource now? maybe you try to get right lighting/mood just with lights and without shutters first before filling the room w...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
good start vl_dm, I think you could give this one more "thrill" with a different camera angle/position.
Found some time to fool around with indigo on animation and go my first steps with after effects.
Let me know what you think about it!

Re: Aperture Diffraction help
Maybe this is due to most users using Indigo in their host 3D app and not Indigo standalone.
So maybe the development of the Indigo GUI is not that up to date as all the exporters are.

Re: Octane Render Cloud Version Announced
This feature would be great to have for indigo renderer too - cloud based render farm displayed in the integrated plugin of indigo.... I still don't think this will be usable for real production workflow. If you take a closer look to the shown scene it's perfectly optimized and already transferred ...

looks really good so far!
maybe you could also do some tests with a simple interior to show some nice glossy reflections caused by backlight
