Re: Dry Cracked Ground and a Marble texture
Thanks for trying them out! I thought the ground material was a diffuse or oren-nayar (can't remember at the moment). I'll have a look at it later to see. I was scaling the ground texture up to around 6" for each 'piece' which seemed to be a good scale. I also tried a displacement map but it seemed ...

Re: Dry Cracked Ground and a Marble texture
I also emailed the guy just to be sure and he was fine with using the textures so I'll be uploading these to the library when I get them to where I like them.
Did you get a chance to try them?

Dry Cracked Ground and a Marble texture
I found this site and am making some textures from some of them. I've attached two that I like and what I've done so far. If you could download them and give me some feedback, that would be great. If they end up to be good enough, I'll upload them to the library. Since I'm using Sketchup at the mome...

Re: How to Use Motion Blur
Found my first use for this today. Whaat, you're awesome. It worked great for a small thing but then I tried a few other things and it stopped. The object that should be moving is rendering away from the correct location even though it hasn't moved in the model. edit: Attached some images. The first...

Re: Instancing Components
I HATE having to put plants in Sketchup files since Google still hasn't figured out how to make Sketchup handle large poly counts. This is awesome! Thanks Whaat, you do great work!

Re: Future Kitchen Concept
Looks very nice! I like the hybrid feel of the image. Perhaps inverting the curve of that middle section (so it curves up, just mirror it vertically) would increase the usability while still following the nice lines.

Custom Computer Case
Not sure how many of you are into computers but it is pretty big hobby of mine. A while back, using Sketchup I designed a custom case call a tech station. It leaves your components open for easy swapping and good airflow. I actually started drawing it in AutoCAD since that was all I knew at the time...

Re: more materials in Assign Preset dialog
Not to act like I know what I'm talking about, but would it possible for the materials we get off the MatDB to transfer the preview image that is already there?Whaat wrote:yes, I will definitely add this in a future release. However, the user will have to create their own preview thumbnail image.

Re: sketchup 8 and indigo exporter
I can confirm what Borgleader has said. I am not having any issues but I'll admit I don't use most of the options and settings all the time so I have no idea if some things aren't working. Personally, though, I've no issues.

Re: SkIndigo 2.4.8
Spheres work fine for me. Create a component and name the definition 'IndigoSphere'. Yeah, I don't know what you were talking about. They're working fine... :P I was putting in an underscore. On a related note, would it be possible to have any string with 'indigo' and 'sphere' in it render as a sph...
