kram, as far as im aware you cant have a sun and sky background and emitter in the same scene, perhaps this is just a skindigo thing? i'll gladly stand corrected though...

If yu check out the skindigo tutorials in the tutorials forum, they should get you going.

As for the lights, you jsut need to assign an emmiter material and then set the environment to 'sketchup background' and tick the 'black' box.

you should be fine with skindigo v 1.0.9. The only thing i can think of off the top of my head that is different is how you acess the materials options, you can now do it just by double clicking the material in the SU materials window, speeds things up a bit i find.

If you go to the tutorials forum here, theres a set of tutorials called something like 'skindigo 0.9 tutorials', these are definetly the best way to get the hang of skindigo.

Ahhhh, i get you now.

Well to do this you jsut need ot leave it running for longer. It would also help to tone down the whites a bit as well, as pure white gives you long render times.

A good start would be to use an hdr for the background, this should give your renders a bit more context.

Another thing that will make a big improvement is adding bumpmaps to the walls and pavement. Might also be worth toning down the white a bit while your at it.

This number is typically greater than one: the higher the index of the material, the more the light is slowed down. However, at certain frequencies (e.g. near absorption resonances, and for X-rays), n will actually be smaller than one. This does not contradict the theory of relativity, which holds ...

i had this problem. I managed to fix it by closing SU completely and then starting it back up again.

Bit of a stab in the dark, but i imagine its somethng to do with skindigo storing the textures in memory somewhere and thne not being able to tell when your in clay render mode and when you arent.

Nice render, especially for a first.

You could get it to look more real by lowering the body of the car down a bit and possibly puttign a bit of deformation on th tyres. It looks like its floating at the moment :P

And im not sure aobut the lights...
