Re: The best rendering engine?

Let's say Indigo wanted to port a shader that's only been in "biased" rendering engines... like diffuse. What on Earth are you talking about... diffuse isn't even a shader, it's a BRDF / reflection model. There's nothing biased or unbiased about it, it's a reflection model; if you're interested, he...

Re: The best rendering engine?

Engine comparisons come up all the time, and are always interesting. However, they are usually done a little more fair and systematically: share the test scene, and try to get it to match up to a reference render as well as possible before comparing. Even in that case, there are details like which r...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.55 Beta Release

Welcome back neo0 :D As I understand it, improving our plugins for 3D modelling apps is the major near term priority over the Indigo App itself (which is of course also being improved along the way); I'm not speaking for Nick of course :)

Re: Silverwings Render Corner

Wow, this is really getting challenging to render, thanks Silverwing for the gift that keeps on giving :) Not many engines out there that can do this, if I may say... excellent tweak, yonosoy!

Can we maybe get the tweaked scene file please?

Re: May 2017 Competition

Agreed, great entries everyone, thanks for taking part! I've just noticed that due to the Ethereum mining craze, Radeon RX 580s are very hard to come by: http://wccftech.com/amd-gpu-supply-exhausted-by-cryptocurrency/ Because of this, I think we'll offer people to get a nice GeForce instead if they ...
