obj-file as external mesh not rendered
Hi, I purchased some great shrubs from turbosquid, files are obj. I always use obj-files as external mesh in Sketchup, and this works fine. But in this case, my obj won't be rendered. I hit render and Indigo just renders as if the object isn't there. At first I thought it's because of the complex ge...

Re: SkIndigo 3.8.25.2 (beta)
Wow, this is strange: snorky is right! If the edges of your dummy have still the default material (or any other face), the scattered object will be wrong textured. You have a long vertical line in your group/component, and if this line has still a default material (or the edges of the square...

I think it works now:
deleted textures in obj, renamed materials, saved as new obj. See attachments.

Re: SkIndigo 3.8.25.2 (beta)
I have a lot of trees, and all of them work fine with scattering. But when I use your tree, I also get this strange result. So i really think there is something wrong with this obj... Did you try other files?

Re: SkIndigo 3.8.25.2 (beta)
cocash, don't be desperate, this is not an Indigo problem. :) If you take a closer look, you will see that there is a wrong texture on the leaves, see attached. It's the bark texture. So it seems to be a problem with the obj. I think this could be easily fixed, I just don't have time for it right no...

Re: Using Sketchup lighting in environmental maps
Try this:
- Set the environment weight to about 100000 (depends on your exr, in most cases this works for me)
- Set the sun weight to about 0.0001 (just as an an approximate value, need to play with it)
