Thanks Kepler, I will look in to that. For the moment 'white balance' is set to 'E'. Here is the Sketchup view. You can see the direct sun light hitting the floor and parts of the wall. This is what i want to simulate in the renderings as well. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r3/kwistenbiebel1/su...

Afecelis, In the sketchup exporter plugin you can assign 'blackbody' light to a material (in this case the glass material of the window surfaces). You can then set up two parameters: 'gain' and 'temperature'. In the shot you are referring to gain=1 and temperature=3500K (warm light)...... But can we...

Kepler,
i assigned blackbody light to the window surfaces (mesh light) in the shot you are referring to.

I like to stay on topic here though...Rendering sun light is primordial to me.
using a mesh light in window surfaces is a 'fake' method to me ;)

Thanks Radiance and Whaat. I did all those things you suggested. In sketchup i can see sun light on the floors. The render output remains blue however. When i render the outside of the building it looks blue as well...so there is something wrong with the sun setup? Is it me or indigo/exporter ? :) s...

How to simulate a sun lit interior with the SU exporter?

Hi all, I am very happy with the plugin but i have difficulties to simulate direct sunlight in the interior. It seems that if you turn on the 'sun-sky' that indeed it renders with sky, but it doesn't show sun light. This results in blueish output as if it was a overcast day. Should we make an extra ...

Thanks Kram,
but i am using sketchup.
I am pretty sure i checked the sun/sky on.
Btw, background colour is white.

Should i remove the glass from the windows to show sunlight?
Or change glass settings?

Hi all, I am experiencing the same issue as Rizzo. I can't manage to simulate a sun-lit space. The indigo version i use is 0.6 through the new sketchup exporter. This is an early try out with meshlight (blackbody light assigned) in window surfaces. Someone can give me a hint on using the sky and bri...

Thank you Whaat! and OnoSendai + Tutorial SKINDIGO beta 0.6

Title says it... Thanks Whaat for making this exporter plugin...and of course thanks to OnoSendai for developing Indigorender in the first place. I have no experience with indigo, but didn't find it hard to set up a scene. Here is my first try: I assigned RGB light to the window material and made th...

Fuse, ..Maybe the back bumper can be changed Have you tried a smooth bumper without the extra 'edges' (don't know how to call them). Your overall concept shows a big 'slit' (again how do you call it?) that runs from the front to the back. When it reaches the back bumper, suddenly you introduce some ...

Actually 'Kinetic' means 'shaped by motion'.
This is the latest trend in car design as you can see in the newest models.
Cars look like they are shaped by the wind and speed (wind tunnel?).
....As if the materialised car is more like a dynamic fluid than a solid mass.

There is something strange about the background sky...
The interior has some intense direct light coming from the window.
I would expect a much lighter sky in the background.

Besides that, that scene looks very promising.

This is really a fantastic 'kinetic' car design. It could be the next Alpha Romeo GT model ! Have you tried applying an Alpha logo in the grill? It should fit. I know this is a WIP and you are focussing mostly on the modelling part, but i think that those preliminary renderings could use some toning...

Whaat wrote: There is the option to disable the material texture so that you can use a bump map without having to use a diffuse map.
Good thinking.
I like the GUI as well. Simple but effective.

Keep it up.
