Wouldn't it be cool to have a shader editor like the material editor (maybe inside the material editor), to see how our shader looks exactly and immediately ? I don't know if that will help but problems with ctrl+A are usual in blender (when you scale an object in the object mod it does not change the normal currently, so you have to do CTRL+A on your objetc in order t correct it), but an exporter cannot solve the problem completely because you cannot app...
