Here's a new version with several adjustments. The fabric bump map on the couch is not really visible through the noise. But I ran out of patience ;-) Can't wait for 08test3 and the new transmitting material..! KwistenB: No, I model in Blender. I took sketchup on a test-drive a few weeks ago but the...

The table's blue, but MrCarnivore is right about the colour. It's too reflective and bright right now, which may account for the burnt highlight under the lamp. I've darkened it a lot to see how it goes and added a bevel to the table, bump map on the couch, UV map and a few other things. Will post a...

Coffee table
Thought I'd throw that in. Nothing special, just playing with textures and Indigo07 final. Rendered for about 15 hours on a slow single core with Bidir and MLT on. Lit by two meshlights. Among the many things to fix are the UV map problem on one of the books in the stack and the gain of the coke flu...

My belated two cents here. I concur with DaveC. Having a script window open as a matter of fact is really the best way. Makes material editing completely painless since it allows you to click on objects in the 3D view window and Blendigo automatically loads up the corresponding material. Much faster...

Ono, the funny thing is I never ran out of RAM. I know it sounds strange, but on that latest scene that was giving me trouble, the buffer was 300M. I never used more than half the available memory. I'm off for a while now, but I'll have another go when I return with different settings in the inifile...

It seems I'm one of very few people to be having this problem, and it could very well have something to do with my set-up. Still, it's frustrating as I was very much looking forward to using bidir. And my gear may be mainstream, but it's not too old either (Core Duo at 1.6 and 2g of ram...) and it s...
