Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
my renders seem to start just fine but after about 2 or 3 image update it just stops. I have 2 Radeon 7970 Ghz 3GB. happens regardless if i have either or both cards selected. im on windows 10 latest updates latest AMD drivers.

Re: Best graphics for the forthcoming GPU rendering
I second this.lycium wrote:If you want to render with Octane, get the 780 Ti. If it must be NVIDIA, and you don't care about Octane, get the 980. If you're willing to go with AMD, go with the R9 290x with 8GB ram - having lots of (usable!) memory is important, and I bet it's insanely fast.

Re: GPU for Indigo 4.0
I thought the 900 series was suppose to be a much better compute card than all previous offerings from nVidia. Also since the GPU beta isn't available yet, probably a good idea to wait for AMD's new lineup to see how they perform and prices are bound to falls on nVidia at that point.

Re: Best graphics for the forthcoming GPU rendering
then do it up but id make sure you get a high vram card or else all that speed isnt going to do a whole lot. buying one card that lasts a long time is much cheaper than hitting your ram limit and having to buy another card all over again. I cant say for sure as I dont have the software but I would i...

Re: Best graphics for the forthcoming GPU rendering
best bang for buck would probably be an AMD R9 290x with 8GB of VRAM. Id assume the the GPU rendering slows considerably when data has to flush back and forth between system and gpu RAM, also the general OpenCL performance of a 290x is top notch.

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.8.6 Beta Release
I'm really liking this release, been rendering an animation since it came out on 1 machine, each frame 10,000spp and its actually moving right along! :-) On the last release I was having a strange checkerboard pattern show up often and I haven't seen it here yet. I was starting to think it was somet...
