Hi everyone, we have decided that, given the relatively long time between two Indigo stable versions, we will also support beta versions in between. Not every one of them probably, but those which are considered 'relatively stable' by the community will be installed on the RANCH. That way, Indigo us...

Well, we would very much like to update to a new version too! The problem is, we never put betas in a production environment, for reasons you can easily imagine. But on the other hand, there is a much longer time than we expected between two officially declared 'stable' versions of Indigo, and it is...

Indeed, this is part of our philosophy, and we try to make people understand this (it's not obvious when they are used to the traditional, shared system of renderfarming - this is also why we created our RANCH Philosophy document - to explain all this). Bertrand, maybe I should find a place somewher...

Do not forget that for 1024x1024 max renders, and if you do not need to get the .igi back, we have the Blitz! formula. It's a $10 flat fee for a 10 minutes render, and we are the only renderfarm in the world to do that kind of thing... Our price per GHz-Hour is also the lowest among big renderfarms,...

Well, I never encountered the "single scene in multi-IGS parts" case during the beta-test, so I could not guess this possibility existed. I have taken a look at the file PureSpider uploaded yesterday and remarked that all the ".igs includes" have names beginning by "PACKED". Is it always the case wi...

Yes, and even when 1.1.x will be considered stable, do not forget that the only way we can automatically detect animations is because there are several IGS files in the .vui archive. So even with the future stable 1.1.x, if you want to render a still image and not an animation, always check that the...

Useful precisions about the 15 free render time offer
I thought the following precisions may be helpful to clear any potential confusion about the 15 minutes free render time offer:  - if the job exceeds 15 minutes, you will have to pay for the difference. We offer exactly 15 minutes of rendering, so anything above is automatically charged. - if ...

Animation support is in!
Hi everyone, good news: animation is now supported! The details are in sections 5-C and 7-B of the RUG (updated to 1.02). In animation mode, you have an IGS file for each frame, and each frame is assigned to a different node. As we have around 100 nodes, 100 frames are rendered simultaneously. So if...

I'd like to say that the potential "black screen" problems with some tonemapped PNG should be a thing of the past now. We have slightly changed our merging process to make it completely compatible with the automated tonemapper in Indigo, so it should work in any case now. Fred btw we will probably u...
