Re: Wishlist
A saved library of Indigo Settings would be nice, like a template. Skindigo saves settings as "default" but what about saving them to our own preference, eg "Outdoor Scene with Env Map" or "Object with Artificial Lighting and Foreground Alpha" I guess I could make sketchup files to act as templates ...

Re: SkIndigo 3.8.25.2 (beta)
I'm having similar problems - - Layers that are turned off in Sketchup are rendering in Indigo. - horizontal surfaces that are very close to each other are rendering 'on top of each other' (in my large-scale model, within 5cm - I'm taking Aerial photos and modelling flat planes of grass over top of ...

Re: Best graphics for the forthcoming GPU rendering
Nvidia Titan X cards are just landing in stores now. 12GB DDR5 Ram and 3000 cuda cores.
not sure how these compare to the ATI Open CL cards - anyone hazard a guess?
Price is $1700 USD or similar. Sounds expensive but actually could save needing a 2nd PC.

Re: SkIndigo Tutorials Ideas
Great call on the need for environment map guidance..its a powerful feature but its in my "too hard basket" for now. I'd love to be able to create and save env maps + camera settings and lighting layers so I could reapply them to various scenes. In fact, a saved library of Indigo Settings would be n...
Re: Wishlist
Grass presets and Environment map presets would be killer! Oh and some more camera presets - I find the "Sony DSC003_..." settings a little confusing and difficult to replicate nicely. "Outdoor afternoon" and "Evening sunset" would be more useful to me. When combined with EXR/HRD maps and presets fo...

Re: SkIndigo 3.8.11.1
If we could adjust defaults, that would be great! Moreover, as far as I know, there is no way to adjust the Indigo material setting for sketchup's default material through skindigo

Re: Wanted: Scatter presets
I don't really understand how to use the double-sided thin materials. I get a crash when I attempt to make one. SKP file attached has an example. Is there a little instruction guide I can read to learn how to put together these more advanced materials? The process isn't very intuitive to me. Thanks ...

I see.. it's worth a try.
What settings should I use to get glossy translucent materials?

Re: Wanted: Scatter presets
This is getting fairly complex... 4500 instances per square metre. I'm getting 890 samples/second using bidirectional path tracing (single PC). I'm happy with this result though, I'll be using this in my scenes from now on. It certainly looks better (to me) than any other 3D rendering software's def...

Re: Wanted: Scatter presets
Thanks guys, happy to help. Looking good Sam! My only suggestions would be to have the grass maybe not only that streight pointing up, but a little more to the sides too, generally speaking, the longer the grass the more it bends to the sides. Also your material look quite... solid. What do you use ...

Re: Wanted: Scatter presets
I've made a lawn daisy and added that. Also some bark mulch (not easy... need lots of variation otherwise it looks terrible.. maybe easier to do with a bump/displacement map etc?) I'm still struggling with the distribution. Are the seed numbers repeatable, eg, if we find a seed that gives a nice nat...

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.8.13 Beta Release
^^^ Oh...Maybe it's not even a new feature but I just noticed it :D
When you edit a material within Indigo it now brings up a RGB editor with a really nice HSL/RGB editor. It's also very fast and responsive.
(except it says HSV not HSL...)
