Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs

I'm experiencing some strange problem, when I get to a really high resolution, my aperture diffraction dissapears.... Also, I used crazy values to have a decent light : Power is at 10 000 and efficacy at 100... here at 2554 X 1240 : http://moubine.free.fr/diffraction1.jpg here at 5108 X 2480 : http:...

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs

Hey Pibuz,

Yeah I want to give it some special atmosphere like in films, and I especially love cold blue ones :D

Great idea for the warm element ! I think I'll add a little table with a yellow little light and an open book or something. What about it ?

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs

Hey Bossey :) Effectively this is a wonderful option, but it won't work on opened tubes (tried it on the model). Another problem is that every little piece of the couch is in a different group...so you have to merge them together before you can flip all faces in one shot. So I catch all the wrong gr...

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs

Hey Pibuz,

Thanks, I use Sketchup (iirc like you :) )
But I'm also a big Rhino user.
Those couches are rhino files customly exported as 3ds so i can clean normals problems in skp and use skindigo. But the website already proposes good quality 3ds versions of the models.

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs

it's time to make better couches. I found great free models provided here : http://www.flyingarchitecture.com/category/3d-models/furniture-3d-models/sofas-armchairs/page/3/ But the normals are totally Jammed, so I'm wasting time on flipping them etc....such a pain. I took the leather from the materi...

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs

Hey matsta

Thanks, but unfortunately I got a tone of images to compute first. However I'll resume those renders soon I hope.

By the way the leather was rendering far better when the scene was lighter...since I added a lot of furniture, it became a bunch of fireflies in renders.

Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs

Hi, Well...Housing interior that is. This is mostly furnitured with low poly models took from 3D warehouse on purpose. Since I wanted to put...a lot of things and keep the scene smooth. However, I feel it's not so great, so any advice is welcome :) Thanks. Please note that first 3 images have been (...

Re: strange waves with 1° FOV

Hi guys, Lycium> Yes I think it is directly linked to the problem...the scene is 230 x 112 m big and the waves progressively dissapear as I increase the FOV. StompinTom> Man...an Ortho camera (that would also take Sketchup section planes into account) would be so good ! That's on the top of my wishl...

strange waves with 1° FOV

Hi guys, I'm trying to use indigo for architectural rendering with Sketchup as a modeler. So with skindigo the tip to get nearly orthogonal views is to use a 1 degree Field Of View and that works ok. But there is one thing I wonder about : it's the strange waves I get on the render. Anybody knows ab...

Re: GPU acceleration crash

Hey CTZn, Thanks for the advice, now I don't crash anymore. It still disables the gpu when launching the render. But I press stop render and then enable GPU acceleration again (for each render). It only disables it when I launch a render from Sketchup, so I guess it has something to do with the expo...

GPU acceleration crash

Hellooo, Well, Dunno where exactly (it's on the forum !) I red that to activate GPU acceleration you had to do it in the Indigo GUI first, then render from SKP. But here is the problem, if I activate GPU acceleration, when I launch a render from SKP the computer totally freezes. So I can't use it at...

Re: "Scene parsing Error"

Hi Whaat,

I had the same problem as Enrico and effectively, updating Skindigo helped. Thanks for the info.

However I just wanted to ask about the way to rotate it ? I'm quite lost since I'm used to turn lamps in Blender but in SKP huhu...

Thanks :)
