That's probably because of the silent change made to result of Indigo's camera tonemapping :(

Re: My silly stuff

Very interesting and unusual works! I'm curious what you're using for the special effects around the magic staff- looks like something that might be generated with our program Chaotica actually :D

Looking forward to more!

It does affect it, the amount depends on the scene though. The Indigo benchmark could really stand to render for longer, if not at higher resolution... maybe for the next update :)

It's just the normal Indigo benchmark, not really high resolution: https://www.indigorenderer.com/indigobench/

May 2017 Competition

https://www.indigorenderer.com/sites/default/files/indigo%20may%202017%20compo%20920.jpg With all the big changes since our last Indigo competition, we figured it's high time for another one! For this competition we'd like to get some new scenes to be included with Indigo . There will be at least 3...

Re: eGPU enclosure + GTX 1080 Ti /Mac

I have to say: why go to all this trouble with external GPUs for a laptop with an operating system that very reluctantly supports them via a series of hacks that simply works better using Windows (per the article, not my conclusion) at a huge price premium, when you can simply build a normal inexpen...

Re: Camera Response Functions

If you have a good source of data for response functions and LUTs, it shouldn't be too difficult to add support for it in Indigo, especially now that we have colour curves (which is pretty much the same thing).

I'm sure Nick / Ono-Sendai will love these renders, being the coffee fiend he is :D

They look awesome, great job!

Re: [ISL Help] Concentric circles

Yeah I noticed that the bump shaders aren't working on GPU at the moment. Pending investigation :)

Re: [ISL Help] Concentric circles

Hmm, I'm not sure exactly what effect you're looking for now. As it is the shader is not really suited to bump mapping, because of that instantaneous change in colour / height; furthermore, the bump map shader expects a single value (real / scalar) and not a colour / vec3. Try messing with this code...

Re: [ISL Help] Concentric circles

Yeah it works off the UV map, so I guess it won't be circles unless the UV map is perfect / undistorted. It's possible to modify it to use the worldspace position or angles or something like that to get around this, but then your object also has to be perfectly aligned. In any case, let me know if y...
