Updates: - Fixed an issue with the instancing module. - Extended phongE-functionality (i.e. using a Maya-PhongE node only for its comment. That is stored in the .notes attribute and is passed directly to the XML-File. Certain magic words can be used to insert shader colours or names.): Now, Colour ...

Great, great, great! Sending you a postcard from my mti vacation (which will probably last till tomorrow, now that ONO gave IES-Support to the world), just briefly: Thanks dougal for pulling all the stuff together, that's great. Albedo Textures with phongs would be also nice. Thanks CTZn for getting...

Rev 60: - Many mti-settings are now keyable and can be modified in the channel box - added a Global Factor Setting, default 1, not working properly with camera yet - added an UpRandomRotation element to locators. Works in principle but has to be checked. - added a sketch of the camera settings, but ...

Great, Dougal! Is it possible to add a scale to the scene? Can you post the scene then, in the PM perhaps? I'll add a mirror to the blinns. For some materials, we have to use the texture maps: As the presets can execute mel.commands, maybe I'll try a preset that adds the custom texture attributes di...

Cool, let's keep on repeating ourselfes  (good thing though, if we can scale F-Stop manually). Apart from that, Indigo is based on some physical properties of light: As Ono is getting more realistic, a *100 Scene-Scale factor will be questionable. Moreover, we have to put this way of thinking ...

Concerning the camera: I used what was available in mti 0.7x, and never understood it. I made two changes: One was empirically changing a factor for the lense, but later I thought that was not that bright an idea. Recently, i added a 35mm camera assumption, which is close enough, though still misfit...

As for scale, I'm now used to model at 1cm = 1m, and I'll use that way until a solid workaround is found... C4D exporter uses that scale hack, seems to work tho... ts ts ts, aren't you always carrying the flag of unbiased physical reality? honestly, we should fix this as we will work with pr...

Just briefly: Ever wondered why the mti-DoF-Effect was so minute? Ever wondered why Sun and emitters seemed not to work well together? Ever wondered why the FocusDistance in a medium sized scene was 700m? I fear we need to scale every object in the world, except some camera parameters, by 0.01 to wo...

@ rgigante: thanks for the info, well look into that eventually (taking each rotation by itself (CTZn found out the correct z.rotation already), and then we'll check the rotation order: Swapping the vectors cross-wise seems to be a good idea. Our transform matrix in Maya is a combination of scale, r...

sorry CTZn for the confusion, I was tired yesterday... -> You already put in Z-Rotation, so the point is moot, except that we should treat both (with "useExactName" on and off) cases similar: If you check the .mel-script, you will see that there are two options for exporting via locators, depending ...
