For now we can't export anything, this is still a tech demo not implementing all incoming features. But woaow the gallery is quite impressive ! thx for the link Tungee ! And yes, it's hard to figure out how to control the terrain but adding modifiers, clouds etc is straight forward imo. Control is n...

Any place should do, you just have to tell wich to the exporter by clicking the gear icon. Keep its relative structure as is.

I have to agree, but if you can do mel thats a one click operation. Alas I can't, and I do it manually too. The precise connection to remove is: ShadingGroup.message > lightLinker.shadowLink.shadowObject Also if you have deleted all history may remain some nodes around the shapes, they show grayed o...

Indeed that solves it. That is exactly one connection by shader. ANY shader must have this removed (blinn, phong, lambert, are there more for Indigo ?), but any node that is not a shader can keep it plugged.

Ehem... That will create a nurbs sphere wich is just a holder, it will not be rendered. Placing the "Sun" will draw a vector from the origin of the scene to the sphere, pointing toward the sun in the render. Note than you could as well use a locator named "Sun", or whatever with this exact name (and...

Hi, I'm not a Lightwave user but I'm posting to expose my opinion about IndigoExplorer: I think this was an attempt to convince the develloper of Indigo to sell licenses so they (Daros and Cie) could sell farm rendering with Indigo as a service. That was interested, not just a "free" contribution bu...

Mmmh I'm not sure that shifts the color, having pink or blue scenes is more a matter of setting the white point for the camera. ie if it's set to D65 try a lower value, like D. In the other hand your image could become bluish, that's about balancing that right.

I use maya 6.5 and used the maya 6 version of the MLL file. Well, the error message is quite self-explanatory, you can't do that :( If you own Maya 6.5 I believe you are entitled to use Maya 6 as well, ask Autodesk... or if you already have Maya 6 on cd just install it ! Maybe yourdaftpunk could co...

Turn normal smoothing on, too
Does this work with bump mapping ?

I agree about nk materials, the color map has shading in it and is too contrasted.

Er... is your image RGCed :? HowToHowToHowTo!?!

Oh, good to know for me ;)

So I guess Indigo's environment surface is approximately at 220m from the origin of the scene...

Thanks Shawn !

Alternatively, you can do it the xml way:

Code: Select all

<renderer_settings>
                ...
	<num_threads>#</num_threads>
                ...
</renderer_settings>
where # is the number of thread. To be placed anywhere inside the <renderer_settings> tag.

It made sense to me, but I think I'm gonna stop corn right now, sounds psychedelic :lol: I think OnoSendai's point was a bit more basic, while it would already make reflections and refractions even better ! i didn't add polarisation so that we could all use polarising filters, tho that might be nice...
