Re: How do you use materials in the MatDB that are still in code
1. if your first issue is to do with clicking the file in your browser and getting a new page open full of xml then you can fix that by right clicking the download link and "saving as", or whatever your OS and browser calls it. Save as .igm. 2. If the errors you refer to are errors when running indi...

Re: As Time Fades Away.
Seems like a silly small thing but I really like the fine gold edges on the sunken seconds section and the tiny gold hour marks. Really like this design. I would hang this on my wall in a flash if it existed (It is a wall clock right? Did I get it correct this time )

Re: Liquids Test Thread
To be honest, although the env map version does look nicer the difference in rendering time just isnt worth it for a test scene. We need speed over sex appeal  I also notice that it converges significatly faster without the env map. compare 10Kspp (no env) vs 63Kspp (with env)...big difference ...

Re: Liquids Test Thread
New scene - no env was about 575000 samples per second on my machine, from memory, and new scene - with env map was running somwhere around 345000 samples per second. So that's somewhere between 30 - 40% slower. Your mileage may vary  I should note that despite both those scenes being rendered ...

Re: smart question
From some other places that ben has commented on this it's all to do with the order of the network devices. It stands to reason that different OSes present the adapters in a different order I suppose.

Re: smart question
which is what i said ages ago...os shouldn't matter at all it's the unique address of your main network adapter that matters and we all already know that the indigo license is per machine with the only other caveat being hat two users are not allowed concurrent access via the same license. From lice...
