Re: Interior living project

Very nice! 8) Some minor comments I'd make; 1. The bump map on your walls is maybe a bit strong. 2. The panelling & skirting board are unlikely to be the same material as the wall. More likely to be painted wood so a smooth shinier surface on these would look better imo. Keep up the good work! and k...

Re: Material ID

If it's of any use to anyone I discovered a workaround for this issue. If you notice several materials rendering out the same colour next to each other, use the 'pick material' function and then change the 'Material type' of the material from Phong to Diffuse / Specular etc.. when the render re-star...

Re: Random Tiles

Hi DanJ, recently I have been using a great little programme called Bricks'n'Tiles http://www.bricksntiles.com/ You still need individual hi res images of bricks but it then generates any size sample you like up to 16000 x 16000 pix I think. You can adjust the brick colour in PS to whatever you need...

Material ID

I'm sure this has been raised before (and it may have changed in Indigo 4 and my apologies in advance if it has!) but the Material ID render function quite often does not separate colours / materials well. Whilst I can normally manage a work-around this current scene I'm doing is the worst yet... As...

Re: Some new work

There is actually very little in those last few scenes. Just 6 different models scattered using Skindigo's native scatter function. The 2 grass patches and the small plant I modelled myself, the other 3 are all off 3D warehouse I think, all free stuff whenever possible with me!

Re: Some new work

Been busy so missing here for a while! Firstly let me congratulate the Glare team on IR4 8) :D (better late than never... ) Great job all round! Unfortunately I do not currently have a computer or graphics card that can really test 4 out so I'm still languishing in world of 3.8. But I think i...
