Re: A natural situation

Haha ok I understand, yes I like it too, but I first thought it was due to the uniform phase function. Reguarding this cloud material, when we modify one parameter it is turned into uniform, but how can I set it back to RGB values even if I change some parameters ? example, I changed the max extinc ...

Re: A natural situation

I never noticed that uniform phase function absorbs all the colors of the land, on my renders using uniform phase function for the clouds I get only the clouds being grey scaled, even in uniform sometimes they become colored from ground reflections.. on your render it looks like a black and white im...

Re: New AMD card

What about the GTX 1080 that comes out in 2/3 weeks ? It seems a very good card for not that much money. Would it be a good card reguarding the GPU accel for indigo 3.8.xx and pure GPU for indigo 4.0.xx ? Would there still be the problem of not allowing its entire memory ? it has 8Go and 2560 CUDA c...

Re: A natural situation

Thanks Yonosoy for your answer, By using an atmospheric simulation do you mean to create and atmosphere sphere the same as when we make a planet ? Because extra atmospheric enabled in indigo renders zero atmosphere and so the sky is black. About creating a box under the clouds with an SSS value, wel...

Re: A natural situation

Well I don't think I have one of this versions.. I have if i am correct a version Ono made when he was making some of the first clouds shader I was out for the day so I letted run a rendering for about 7hours with the clouds box going at -50meters under the bottom; the clouds start at 300m, the box ...

Re: A natural situation

Ah ok I see why there is still no god rays in that test I did before to see your new post ! I'm gonna test the same scene with the cloud box going under the ground.

Re: A natural situation

Nice yonosoy I have a question, are the god rays created automaticly after the light passes through the clouds ? Or is there a layer of "fog" under the clouds to catch the density of the rays ? And by the way could you please tell me what is your computer configuration for your renders to be such cl...

Re: Making the Earth

Yes I believe ( not because I am convinced of it but because of real pictures and physics ) that we shyould see some reflections even on a frontal view, more or less depending on the weather in the area and such various parameters. This a render I made with a lower IOR. But I think the texture map s...

Re: Wishlist

Thanks Oscar for your reply, I'm not a developer, but it seems to me that scattering objects into a volume would be as "simple" as scatter them on a plane with addition of one more axis ( a vertical one ), no ? There would be absolutely no need of a fluid simulator, since a simple mesh of a rain dro...

Re: Wishlist

Hi, I just took an hour and a half to read this entire thread :) It would be great and very usefull to be able to: _Scatter objects into a volume ( Drop of rain, dust particles, or what ever the object we want ) And be able to control their orientation/inclination to simulate some wind when raining ...
