Re: IndigoBench - Indigo CPU and GPU benchmark

Are you on Win 10? If so, any trouble using it as it doesn't say that 378.66 is Win 10 certified. No, am w7 user. Tho, even if not officially certified they should work. Win10 is from my tests & experience counter-productive (constant updates, notifications... disrupting my workflow, inner peace......

Re: Blendigo 4.0.8

I get the same error as Polinalkrimizei reports.
Couldn't find the culprit :?
It's an older test scene. Cube, plane, sun/sky & camera.
Newly made works fine.

Re: Indigo not appearing in Blender 2.79.

Sorry, i forgot if i mentioned it already: Just a heads up about incoming addons breakages and api changes and new rules! 2.79 release is fairly safe from these changes. A new change restricts the use of duplicate class names. Put simple, if you use a duplicated class name your addon will fail activ...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.60 Beta Release

Ah, so the Environmental problems are issued with the plugin. Also Culling problem is caused by it, doesn't export mesh emitters... Interesting. Basically, if there was an option to import some standardized file formats (ie. obj, fbx, abc...) into Indigo Renderer, Blender plugin would be mostly usel...

Congrats on your work! Feels quite snappier & faster :) Tho some issues appear (unsure about the cause - plugin or engine). a note [2¢]

Blender viewport rendering using 3rd party commercial engines is available with:
- Thea For Blender (@ Forums),
- B-Maxwell (FIRE viewport) but works only with Blender 2.78/2.78a & M~R 3.2.15,
- Octane also.

would be nice, especially with Indigo RT

Would advise same, since you got HDR image at hand all you need to do is tonne mapping it to your heart's desire (properly).

hm... works fine here. Exported from blender. Sphere on a plane lit using HDRI. Rotating Environment HDRI in all engines, also changing material types... PT, BDPT, MLT... - no crash @ default settings, using 2 GPUs (w7, Q M5000 + GTX 1060 /// driver v. 378.49)
- 2 GPUs: crashes as soon as i change Glass to Specular (or anything else), in RTP & even when rendering is paused
- 1 GPU: changing material types using one GPU (any) it works

Re: [REQ] MDL compatibility

i can think of two
- the use of substance designer mats directly (MDL export), no scripting needed
- even if material is not real (doesn't exist) it respects the rules of physics

oh & third... it should result in same rendition across different apps/engines - collaboration

or materialX
or AxF
