Re: Simple Renderings Thread

I think some of you guys have a very weird definition of "Simple Rendering" :P

Of late, this thread ought to be split/renamed to "Awesome Renderings Thread" IMO :)

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.6x) 3.2.3.1

just got a chance to try this out. it's giving me an error when I try to export: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'quick_studio2/Scene/00001/objects.igs' (quick_studio2, being the name of the blender file) seems to be writing the igmesh files ok, but there is no objects.igs in that folder or an...

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.2.5

BiDir + MLT is broken ?
I tried to render a simple test scene and it said 0 s/s despite using all cores.

EDIT: appears to be related to using an SSS material.

Re: Indigo fails to load texture

I would suggest you upgrade to Indigo 3.2.3 and Blender 2.61 + Blendigo 3.2.3.1.
Lots of things like texture path checks have been changed and fixed since 3.0.14

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.6x) 3.2.3.0

Hi Doug, just wondering if there's a chance to have a light layer temperature (K) parameter exported from blender in future releases so we could keyframe and animate those? Thanks! :) AFAIK, the light layer temperature is not part of the indigo scene description, so it cannot be exported. I'd gladl...

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.6x) 3.2.2.0

the camera presets still don't show up for me. but I do notice this (not causing any problems performance-wise, but seems related) I am getting this message repeated over and over in console: RNA Warning: Current value "0" matches no enum in 'indigo_tonemapping', '', 'camera_response_preset' This'l...

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.6x) 3.2.2.0

there is still an issue with the paths for nk files on OSX. I found out what it is though - if you just type in cr.nk, for example, seems that Blendigo is looking for the file in just the "resources/" folder, when it should be looking in "resources/nkdata/" so it works if you type in "nkdata/cr.nk"...

Re: GPU+CPU support for Bi-directional mode

It's true, LuxRender does have the beginnings of a hybrid CPU+GPU bidir integrator, however although it seems to work, it isn't finished and there are some known problems with it still.

Re: [problem] Blender crashes when I try to install Blendigo

Blender does store data in your user account in C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation

As you say, the non-latin character in your name might be the culprit; it might be worth a quick chat with the blender devs on irc://irc.freenode.net/#blendercoders

Re: [problem] Blender crashes when I try to install Blendigo

Sorry for not replying sooner; This is a bit strange to say the least. I really can't say why it would crash blender that badly. Do you have any versions of python installed? It shouldn't make any difference since Blender uses its own distribution - and I myself have 6 different python versions inst...

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.6x) 3.2.2.0

Is it possible to add an option to ignore the version control? Sometimes it's useful to mix and match Indigo/Blendigo versions, especially when testing out new builds... EDIT: Or at least perform the version check BEFORE exporting everything? To be honest, I'm not a massive fan of this feature, but...

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.6x) 3.2.2.0

@Jambert,

As Thomas says, this is down to having bad geometry in the first place. Have you tried "Make normals consistent" on the object in question?

In the next release I will add a mesh option to force disable smoothing, which should help.
