Holy moly. Awesome stuff! Like the overall creepiness a lot, and your materials are soooo top notch!
Keep it up please!

Re: TERRAGEN 4
So right.
If more people would no about Indigo and it's active development (not talking about most exporters
), it would be a great competitor. Really one of the best engines available.
So good to have you on board, lycium!

Great work!
Nice sense of space, and overall definitely catalogue-worthy.
And thanks for sharing the settings, looks really crisp, will try it out, too!

Re: Remember when computing was fun?
I was a BIG fan of Amiga Computers and startet 3D from there, with Maxon Cinema 4D 8) I saved most of the old files on floppys, but can't read them anymore, even with an emulator. Render times didn't change much from then, with overnight scanline-renders pixel by pixel - good times. Yep, computing d...

Re: WOODEN product visualisations
Hi Fluckrat, that helps a lot, thanks for your info! Will definitely take a longer look into it. Indeed we used the built in camera response functions for tonemapping, which were modified for the first pictures, to replicate the heavy red tint we found on our early photos. We then realized that the ...

Re: WOODEN product visualisations
Thanks for the comment! This is indeed one of the many things I simply don't really know about. I usually use the standard camera response functions, preferably the high contrast ones for the lamps. Do you have an example? Which of the images is the most odd, and how to fix it? Is that something tha...

Re: Help with difficult indoor lighting
What I do with bright interiors: If possible, I change the wall behind the camera to an emitter to control overall brightness and tone (used to do that with walls as exit portals + HDRI, which is prettier but slower). This way, I don't have to wait for darker areas getting cleaned up by small emitte...

Re: Help with difficult indoor lighting
Any chance of simplifying some of your highpoly emitters? At least the ones in the distance. How many shots does the scene have? And yes, BiDir PT is the best long-distance runner with indoor scenes to my experience. One exception: With HIGHLY reflecting environments (I had a kitchen made out of pol...

Re: Old interior
Yes, very nice look, and great materials! I never did such detailed windows myself, really adds a lot to the scene. Only nitpicking now: Isn't the computer a little big? And the room to the right lacks a little detail in this detailed shot, f.i. a nice skirting board (not sure about the vocabulary, ...

Very cool architecture!
Perhaps the "chocolate side" of the house could get a little more "love" (=light)?

Thanks Oscar!!
Awesome stuff. But you added so much mats, how do I make sure I didn't miss any without browsing the whole library? You already occupy all the "new materials" entrys
