Re: Led lamp optical simulation

Hey davide, in general, many things can be simulated with Indigo. Could you be more specific? With pictures, examples, models, specs? What exactly do you want to achieve? Depending on the complexity of the simulation and the desired output, things could be simulated or perhaps faked. Simulating ligh...

Re: A natural situation...

Hey yonosoy, to me, some of the steel mats of the database look a bit stylised, so here's my take on steel. Doesn't use nk data, so it could be improved, but it's my first more or less convincing steel. Scratches a very subtle, as it is supposed to be kind of polished. That is adjustable of course b...

Re: Blendigo 4.0.8

Hi MZ, I am using Windows 10 64Bit and recent Blender 2.79. I deleted the indigo_exporter directory and installed it again. I tried the 2.79-folder in the App Data folder, as well as the Program-Folder, where Blender is located. I always get the same error, the scene was working well before. A scree...

Re: Blendigo 4.0.8

Hi, great you picked this up, MZ!
I have Blender 2.79 installed and the new Blendigo, whenever I try to render it says "name os is not defined", and the Indigo doesn't start - what am I doing wrong?

Re: A natural situation...

I love the Troncotron_transparent_GPU render!

The last one is also very cool, but I didn't get the setup... Can you post a wireframe, perhaps from "outside"?

Re: WOODEN product visualisations

It is just a GTX 1060 6GB. Most such scenes are lit by an HDRI image, no exit portals as they are not supported yet by GPU rendering. I do make sure that lots of light can enter the scene by removing walls and/or ceilings, which happens to show in the last render in the reflection of the window... :...

Re: WOODEN product visualisations

Thanks thesquirrel! :-) It is an actual product you can buy - I just need to render some pics for the online-shop! We just don't have fancy locations, and we usually built it by order, so we use renders to show the variations (different veneers). The last pic is for use in a catalog. What is really ...

Re: The best rendering engine?

Hi, this is not really possible to tell, as the material's properties (especially the blue thing) and textures a quite different! Material-wise, these are three completely different renders. But just for the fun of it: I'd go for the middle one. Is has the nicest overall lighting (see the area under...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.60 Beta Release

Wow Ono, great release out of nowhere :-) Testing it right now. One weird bug I couldn't quite reproduce yet: When changing the gain of the light layers while GPU rendering, the image disappeared (looked like alpha rendering mode), only restarting the render with CPU brought it back. Happened two ti...
