Here is a simple one I was messing with. I am proud to say I didn't model any of it. But I did modify a few of them to fit my liking. Trying to get the hang of the physical camera.

Weathered Wood
I posted this material a while back and it worked well for my applications. But now people are rating it at 3 stars. I don't mind at all but it would be nice if people would leave comments about what could be improved. I'd love to make it a 5 star material but if I don't know what people want change...

Re: CoolColJ's test pics thread
i7 at 4ghz at 1.18 vcore at 45c full load? Impossible. Try Prime95 with CoreTemp with hyperthreading on. SpeedFan must be wrong. 1.18 volts and 4ghz is perverse. Can't be stable?? My 860 can't run below that on stock. Edit It took a lot of testing but we finally found the sweet spot. 1.112v on the ...

60M+ Photons/sec with my 5870. So wonderful, I'm even more stoked for Indigo GPU rendering.

Yeah, definitely failed that one. So I'm getting about the same samples/sec as you (which is to be expected with similar system specs). Now I just want them to pick me for the GPU beta.

Re: CoolColJ's test pics thread
Very nice results! I found those test renders one time, and haven't been able to find them again. Would I be a noob if I asked where they were? I upgraded from an AMD Phenom II 945 @ 3.6 GHz to my i7 @ 4 and the increase was great. Don't get me wrong, my 945 was a trooper and for what I was doing, i...

Re: Blue Acrylic Appearing Purple
Thanks! I'm out of a PC right now (just moved) but once I'm up and running again, I'll play around with that, galinette, and if the results are better/faster, I'll modify the ones in the material library (and maybe add some more ).

Re: Colored Glass
I uploaded a few colors (red, green, glue) to the material database. You can change the IOR in the file to whatever medium you'd like as well.

Re: CoolColJ's test pics thread
4.0 GHz is easy on almost all the i7 chips. You're going to want a better GPU for the next version of Indigo, though. :) Maybe a Cypress or Fermi? Where did you pick up all your parts? I'm assuming MC or Frys unless you have a great mom and pop store nearby. I'm really liking your water scene. You d...

Another minor issues. In the online tutorial at the bottom of the page (http://www.indigorenderer.com/documenta ... s/blender/), the link to the forums should end in '/forum/' so no 's' in forums.

Re: mac material
Very nice, Godzilla. That's exactly what I was thinking of doing so I'm glad it worked. I'd test it out if my desktop were set up at the moment. Are you going to upload it to the material database? (you should :p)

Re: mac material
You can try using the default Aluminum metal material and then lowering the Exponent to 20 or so. You might also want to try a very slight bump map. I'd try to mock one up by my desktop is all packed away at the moment.

Re: Black Anodized/Painted Brushed Aluminum
Alright, I think I got it to a point where I am content with the results in my specific application. Would anyone else like to try it out and see how it works for them?
The preview in the Material Editor is quite different from how it ends up appearing in the actual model. I attached the pigm file.

This is great news! I'd love to get my 5870 in on this action. :D
