Im thinking of doing a small animation and ill need SSS for skin. If Indigo is the only place i can get it i WILL render 20 000 frames in indigo. Call me crazy lol
Yes thats what i did, but i get a beam that spreads really wide. Im trying to put a lens to straighten it, but im having trouble getting a parabolic curve lol
Hmm... Obviously i lack some knowledge... my xml seems fine... i just cant seem to get the powerful beam of light... I used a meshlight, but it doesnt want to light up lol anyway ill figure it out. Thanks for sharing!
@nyob: Wow ive been trying to make a scene just like your Prism test. Would you mind sharing the XML file so i can have a look at it to see what im doing wrong?
Whoa O.o lots of questions :P 1-I cant get it in the File>Export menu in Blender, thats where i assumed it should be like the latest 0.5 exporter that i used before. 2-Ive put the script in C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts\ like the other one before. 3-Theres an Indigo GU...
Ive been trying to do this scene im thinking about for a few days but i cant get it to work. I tried to find documentation, but its very scarce or hard to understand or outdated. Its kinda frustrating :? The scene is a simple prism difracting light. Ive seen one in the gallery so i know its possible...
Fake SSS could be an option if it could be faster than real SSS like manitwo said, but i would really like true SSS added sometime in the future, because i expect fake SSS to look somewhat fake lol
manitwo: I dont know about turning off caustics, Indigo is all about acurate (unbiased) light simulation. That would introduce bias and defeat Indigo's purpose, IMHO. Want i want above all else would be SSS. I use 3 renderers: Blender internal, Yafray and Indigo because they are the easiest free ren...
