I like the simplicity of Radiance's one, but its too simple, it has no thin part to show the effect of absorption and an eventual SSS. It doesnt have double sides to show reflection on a material interface under the surface. nyob's one is really nice too, more complex, perhaps a bit too much. I like...

Yes i thought about it very hard after my first unsucessful attempt and here is what i came up with: -must have a curved surface -must have a flat surface -must have a sharp edge -must have thin parts and thick parts (for SSS, double sides and absorption) -must have a part where you can see a reflec...

It all depends on the power of each machine. My main comp can render a given scene at 40k muts/sec while my older comp can render at 15k muts/sec. Add them by network and you get 55k muts/sec. But it also depends on your scene. One scene i made was rendered at 23 000 muts/sec on my main comp but onl...

You should use normal smoothing on the fruits and bowl.

On a more artistic note, the color of the walls seem odd. But it depends on the colorscheme of the kitchen the picture will be in.

Nice modeling and texturing :)

Interesting... I had something like that once, i had two emitters in a scene but only one would work at one time. I thought nothing of it because i supposed it was an error in my XML, but now that you mention it it might be some kind of bug?

Just a random question... Im not familiar with software development but i was wondering, what would it take to get to "Indigo 1.0"? :D A major update? Like a GUI material editor? If you start adding SSS and glossy transparency and what next? Thin Layer Interference? Multiple layer materials (composi...
