Re: Please bring back the section plane!

Wasn't aware it was working, tbh! Not inside C4D at least, or using Cindigo...

Re: Cinema render crash

Pavoda and Originalplan, could you write down the versions of your C4D, Indigo and Cindigo clients? Just to be more precise.

Also, couldn't help noticing you're on mac, Originalplan, maybe this is somehow related to OS?

Re: Cinema render crash

Two piles render fine inside C4D. Enabling the third one crashes the c4d. What pile exactly, it doesn't matter. Interesting fact: if you take any of the piles, and make a xref out of it, load it, and render it inside c4d, inside your scene with "Render View" it will still crash it, but if you select...

Linear workflow - questions

So, recently, I started to dabble in linear workflow, and besides feeling excited trying out "new" things, there is a great amount of confusion present. For me, at least. The reason why I'm posting this here, with Materials, is that the question that is bugging me a lot is directly connected to the ...

Re: Foscarini lamp material

Decreasing gamma will result in softer contrast, I would definitely try that out.

Re: Foscarini lamp material

Omg, never knew that. Having this awful habit of saving everything in .png will get you there...

Well, Pibuz, I'm running out of ideas here...let see, what else. Tell me, did you try playing with gamma setting of your blend texture map?

Re: Foscarini lamp material

You're welcome, Pibuz, and I thank you for upping those renders, I couldn't get them small enough to put them on the forum(500kb restriction).

Just a crazy idea, but did you uncheck "step blend" in the blend material options? Maybe it's on by default?

Re: Foscarini lamp material

Haha, that's a good one! xD Well, had to eliminate it, just to be sure, sorry. What do you mean by "uncontrollable", could you describe it a little bit more? I'm using Cindigo, and had no problems whatsoever. + So, after testing it out for a while, I can confirm that "clamp contributions" messes up ...

Re: [BUG]With GlossyTransp Mtl 3.8 to 4.0

There were some problems reported when using Physical aperture diffraction, similar to yours, but I'm not sure if that helps. Just tried creating the same material, and everything works fine. Couple of things to keep at mind: 1. Normal direction 2. Rendering mode 3. Values (thickness, volume, absorp...

Re: The best rendering engine?

- "Have fun with Phong." Told you should rename it, lol. Now look at all that food you prepared for trolls. On a side note, "Which engine is the best? Doesn't matter. It come down to number of light bounces and materials. " So, just skip the aporia of your own conclusion, and try Indigo out with nic...

Hey, Polinalkrimizei, this last model is awesome. Do you actually produce these, or are they just a product visualisations for a client?
