Usually near the top - after camera and tonemapping settings. Would you mind posting your xml? You can omit the meshes if you want (would save space).

Play with the gain setting (turn it way up - try 1, 1000, 100000, etc). Do you have any emitters? There's been a lot of confusion about how environment maps interact with other light sources. Here's the best response on the subject I've read: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=84 Ev...

spherical or latlong?
Good question - make sure you're set to latlong.

Example:

Code: Select all

	<env_map>
		<latlong>
			<path>example.exr</path>
			<gain>1</gain>
		</latlong>
	</env_map>

The short answer is yes - you can at least fake it. A blackbody emitter might be the best solution. I'll have to let somebody smarter than I, and with more intimate knowledge of indigo, give you the long answer.

Actually Blendernation just posted a bunch of cool links. I don't know which ones have rss, I've only been to a few so far, but it might be a good place to start. Also, I think that the content of this article is relevant to Indigo as well. http://www.blendernation.com/2006/10/29/3d-gallery-submissi...

Maybe a "posts in the last 24 hrs" would be better. Or "last 20 posts".

I was confused by that at first, too. But test6 works a little different. Basically you're getting more quality per mutation so you end up with a render that's more clear and correct in less time, even though the stated number of mutations doesn't seem to say that.

It was a very old post (probably on the old forum site) that I remember nick mentioning that ctrl-c was not a good idea. The official way to close indigo, without risk of a corrupted image, is to close the rendering window. Therefore an alt-f4 command to that window (like m1j said) would be more rec...

That's basically how it's set up already. I think having the ini file is better in this regard because you can easily change what the default settings are.
