Re: c4d-r20

Hey there sger, To add sunlight in Cinema4D, you have to use infinite light source (c4d object), to act as a guide for sun position for Indigo, or you can actually use the Sun object for true to life sun position, based on your time, and date. This actually works, because Sun object is basically an ...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.5 Beta

Brilliant release, I did notice the increase in speeds! But what I also noticed are significant higher CPU temperatures when using denoiser. Not sure, could be due to my build specific.

Also, we need documentation update to explain these new sweet features!

Great job, as always! <3

Point lights. Can't live without them.

Joking. This is an amazing iteration, feels like a significant mark in development.

Re: try for the first time

I'm using C4D and Indigo, so I might be of help here, but it's on the Windows OS, not Mac. First of all, I would like to ask you what do you mean by "I exported my scene to IGS format"? Do you mean that you hit that "render with indigo" button in the plugin menu, or did you do something else? What c...

Re: Tone mapping with HDRI

Well, even though Indigo is a rendering engine, it still tries to imitate/simulate real life phenomena. So, instead of multiplication on your emission, you should scale it to a physical size, which for the Sun is something around 32,000–130,000 lux, depending on your exposed surface, and time of a d...

Re: Tone mapping with HDRI

Got some ideas. First one. Did you check on your light emitting values? The power of your source? All black usually means that you don't have enough power on your light sources. The easiest way to check this out is just to input insane large number for exposure time, ev adjustment or ISO of your cam...

Re: Windows

That's the spirit, never give up! :D At least, we are getting somewhere, it started working when you did the tests. Now, as for the material. Since I don't use SketchUp, I can't help you with that, but try searching for the option Single face. Maybe it's in the object properties, dunno. In the end, ...

Re: Windows

I don't understand, how can you just quit with all these fine advices hanging around...

Just for the demonstration purposes and maybe an inspiration, it can be done, don't give up:

And you can take the .pigs files to dissect it.

Re: Windows

Ok, so here is your fix. You should tick the arch glass and Single face option in the material option. After you do that, change the rendering mode to MLT or anything else, it will "update" the scene and it will render it out correctly. The reason why your window material renders black is because of...

Re: Windows

Greets! Not really using Sketchup here, but couple of things cross my mind. For example, are you using closed volume object for the glass, or are you using plane objects? If you are using plane objects, make sure you are using the correct material - architectural glass. It's the option available for...
