Period in Windows comma in Linux to enter values?

Hi guys, As the topic says, why are Indigo values entered with period under Windows and with commas under Linux? Can't it be unified? I dual-boot Windows-Linux and I was working under Linux entering values with period and none was taken. I was confident I was entering the values properly but I only ...

Re: Tips to reduce fireflies?

Thanks Zom-b :D You're right about the background image, I'll look for a better one, it's just that the city and the height the picture was taken from was something I felt fitted the interior, lol. Question: Where do you set higher super sampling options? Comment: nice portfolio! :D Is all your work...

Re: Tips to reduce fireflies?

Indeed removing the portals produced an image with less fireflies :D (specially on the chrome material of the chair). The lamps on the wall are reflecting some fireflies on the glass material of the window on the left. http://www.telardigital.com/afecelis/indigo/boveda_indigo_01.jpg Other things I'm...

Re: Tips to reduce fireflies?

I just ran into this thread:

Following Zom-b's tip of removing the exit portals is producing a less noisy image. Will post my progress soon ;)

Tips to reduce fireflies?

Hi guys, Working on another scene I notice that wherever sunsky hits any glossy or nk material lots of fireflies get generated and take forever to clean up. http://www.telardigital.com/afecelis/indigo/boveda_indigo.jpg I'm using bidir+MLT with exit portals outside the windows. Any ideas on how to re...

Re: New features in dev - arch glass and new exit portals

Thank you Snorky :D I've tried them both, arch glass works great but exit portals don't show anything behind them :( However,Oscar J already told me that the workaround (for now) is to model an exit portal box around the meshes you want to be visible. I hope they fix the portals soon ;) And I also h...

Re: New features in dev - arch glass and new exit portals

Sorry for bumping into a 2013 thread, but I'm just getting acquainted with Indigo these days. Are these the portals and arch glass present in 3.8.29? Or are they still to be implemented? If so, how long still for them to become official?

Regards,
Alvaro

Re: mesh emitter only work with Reinhard tonemapping?

Yup, I'm using exit portals, but they're simple planes covering the area of the window with the normals pointing inside the room. Where can I find info on Glare's portal system? And what do you mean by the workaround of modeling an exit portal box around? You mean outside of the window portals, wrap...

Re: mesh emitter only work with Reinhard tonemapping?

Excellent! thank you! I'm going to check it right away. Indeed the glass looks weird. I'm rendering my image as png so I can have an alpha background to replace but this is how the glass looks when I insert a background: http://telardigital.com/afecelis/indigo/interior_mix.jpg :( :( :( And you can't...

Re: mesh emitter only work with Reinhard tonemapping?

Thanks a lot Oscar :D Could you please share your .blend file? I'd like to take a closer look at your settings. Don't worry about the exr file, I'll replace it with one here. regards, Alvaro ps. One last question. I'm using the arch glass material option for the windows, but I wanted to know if the ...

Re: Blendigo 3.8.25.0

+1 for rendering within blender's viewport! :D Then, and only then, shall Indigo be a trueRT engine. Not to mention how much time it will save us by looking at the changes right away and being able to adjust them without having to wait for the scene to get exported to the main Indigo application. wh...
