Wow Stur you are really getting there...
I personally like the iceberg better now. Some more nights and your image is gonna look like the famous photo!
I guess Doug means the buggy texture path thing that is described in the "Error loading texture" (or similar) forum. Ben, I know you're only two guys atm, but both of you read the forum: you posted replies. Ore are you using bots to show up here? Sorry, didn't have time to test if it works in...
This is not to be considered a serious render, just an illustration of what i meant in my previous post. The star is pretty ugly, and the spotlight is just a cylinder with an emitter inside (the emitter is about halfway down the cylinder. that's why the light is not equally distributed, it gets refl...
well the modelling of my avatar is not that good, but texturing was done in blender via projection painting of actual photos and worked quite well!
It just doesn't look as good as zbrush i guess, but the feature is really neat!
Stur, perhaps you could cut some loops into your iceberg mesh, so your isl-displacement looks more evenly distributed?
Just guessing don't really know much about it but could we see a wire render?
...and your render needs to cook a lot longer  If there is very few noise left, you might try a noise-reduction software like neat image. But it doesnt' work well with that amount of noise. But some people do think it is perverted to use this kind of software with an unbiased renderer, namely ...
hey stur, please don't get bored, I am enjoying your experiments very much! :) It is a very cool idea, and just remeber your first picture to actually see the progress... Your shader doesn't look like ice yet, but looks definitely interesting. please go ahead with isl-stuff as well, the more ...
Hey Fiona, there are no "presets" in indigo for the desired effect in indigo. But indigo simulates the real world quite well, so the way to go is to actually model the light sources as they are in reality. So take a look at how spotlights are made in reality, you'll find a lightsource, reflectors, a...
This is a prop I made for a new scene. It is about 30cm high in real life (I gave one to my girlfriend) so you could call it !!ALARM!!clock, cause it is really noisy. working more seriously on the mats right now. I am thinking about a pink kind of carpaint. Comments welcome! :) @smartDen: Cool! Look...
Wow. Nice rings. And 372 diamonds is just nuts. I made ONE in the simple renderings thread using your material (thanks for sharing! :D ) and it took forever to solve. If you ever get tired of your machine (well, during the next years), I wouldnt' mind at all to use it myself... One minor cri...
