Re: August 2012 Competition - Materials & Lighting

Here you go folks, I hope this might help a lot of you guys as the scene was just unusable. Nearly everything is modeled from scratch, and if not it has been heavily cleaned up! All details and beveling has been kept ;) I did delete all the furniture though, as I won't be using that. Now I do have s...

Re: August 2012 Competition - Materials & Lighting

Hey FoXar, if you could do that, that would be great! I can also make a super minimal SketchUp scene from the original scene. Just the walls and nothing else, if that helps. Okay great! I'm already busy making it! "Just the walls and nothing else", been there, done that! So no need for it anymore, ...

Re: August 2012 Competition - Materials & Lighting

Hey guys! I'm entering the competition, although the model is far from being "optimized" to work with in SketchUp. Can I remodel the whole thing and I'll make sure to share the whole thing! Only thing is: "- No changes to the architecure allowed." And I might be a centimeter off when remodeling, alt...

Re: Simple Interiors Thread

Very nice one Zom-B! Here's an interior project I'm currently working on, scene and interior style still need their tweaking, so comments and crits are always welcome!

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

Nice one tar_gniK!! Finally got myself a studio scene set up nicely in indigo 8) Same render, different post processing, which do you prefer? *Pics* Definitely the second one! Although I think there's something wrong with the red material on the chair's legs, it nearly is a flat color. I'd also mak...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

Great renders, I really like your exterior Pibuz, a better background and grass texture would really improve the overal feel by far!

LithiumEnslaver, wish I could model that in SU.. :D

@ tar_gnik, I nearly though the first one was the picture :p

Re: 8 Lofts / 14 renders / 7 days

Hey guys! Project got finished on time and the client has a smile on it's face! Now it's your turn. @ ninopiamonte, thanks! Got it from designconnected, first time I purchased something from them, their stuff is really good. Although SU has a lot of difficulties handling these.. I'd have to agree on...

8 Lofts / 14 renders / 7 days

Hey folks! Just got myself a project I'd like to share with you guys, I'm still working on all the renders so I thought I'd post it in the WIP section. Title says it all, but actually it are 4 lofts, but each one of them has a slightly different execution for materials and style.. Here you have the ...

Re: Diner room and kitchen interior

Thanks for the easy answer CTZn, I never understood the emission scale option a 100%, now I sure do! Yep no RT for me, still running 2.6 though.. Should upgrade my license soon now I have a new workstation. @ Headroom, Thanks! Completely agree on the texture of the chair! I'll make sure to not make ...

Re: Diner room and kitchen interior

Thanks for the comment OnoSendai! Yeps most of the noise is from the kitchen lights, they're just simple emitters and no IES profiles. Is there a way so I can allocate more samples to the emmiters? Still using Indigo 2.6 though, modeled in SU btw. Thanks for the crit, I did that on purpose though. S...
