Re: Weekend gfxcoding fun
On Sunday I finally hacked some basic star field stuff, from a catalogue of 9096 star directions. The thumbnail is pretty boring (basically solid black), so you'd have to view the image 1:1. Do you guys think it would be good to have in Indigo (along with a nice highres moon texture), perhaps augme...

Re: material help
quick question, iv read up on a lot of post about everyone saying to make sure the materials are not at 100% or 100% brightness, what exactly does this mean as i am using sketchup. so for example if i was using white does it mean use a slightly grayed out white instead of a perfect white. thanks Th...

Re: [REQ] v.4 - New UI elements.
A modular interface for the UI would be the golden path.
So in a frame everyone would be able to build out the perfect setup for his/her needs.

Re: [REQ] v.4 - New UI elements.
I think that indigo's function and form could use some more well.. something. Hard to put my finger on it. I find adjusting lighting to be missing something. I was eating something delicious when a light bulb went off in my head. What about being able to assign light layers within the indigo ui? Sa...

Re: Vulkan on OSX
Hi With Illustrator CC 2015 is active as zooming and scrolling GPU. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/how-to/enhanced-mercury-performance.html. This was already possible with Photoshop CC 2014. Metal Apple offers very efficient technology available with OS X 10.11 El Capitan, but not all GPUs are...

Re: Vulkan on OSX
Thanks davide445 !
So if there is a live preview option ? ( you can move around a scene and see changes)
That would run also on Open CL ?
Or that is under " realtime 2d or 3d graphics " and needs this API?
Sorry for the n00b question.

Re: Vulkan on OSX
Hi Oscar.
Well its still a new API..but if i understand it right it gives devs direct access to the GPU.
So you get a better performance. Could be useful on OSX i think.
But hey im no expert..
Maybe Open CL 2.1...will be better...dunno.

Vulkan on OSX
It seems Adobe already integrated Vulkan in Illustrator on OSX.
For their GPU preview!
Check info here on Vulkan; https://www.khronos.org/vulkan/
Hmm...maybe this should be a [REQ] Can we have Vulkan in v4?
Do we need to have it? I dunno...let me know what you think.
