Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback. Wyt and Mark, yeah, some of the colors are fairly bright, might do another version with colors closer to my cube here. Salva and joe (and mark), yeah, the table surface is kinda shiny, and yes it does look like that "cheap laminated vinyl*" stuff... I kinda lik...

Rubik's cube

EDIT:

New version! I was bored, but didn't wanna start a whole new project, so I decided to make some changes to the rubik's cube I had been wanting to make. (Darkening the colors mostly... And a new camera angle.)

I didn't remember off the top of my head, so I checked the metadata... it says about 10 hours.
Another one of those that I just leave for the night.

"Simple renders," eh? Here's one of mine.
(The scene isn't that great, colors make it pretty boring, but it was a caustics test :D)

@kram: you might wanna try mplayer ... it'll play most anything you throw at it. I use a frontend for it, (on windoze, mainly for me because it didn't work right without it on my system... :?) otherwise it's command-line. Honestly, the frontend is pretty darn buggy in some areas, but all I need it t...

@kadajawi: Thanks for the input. The material I used for the cable is just a black phong material with an exponent of (i think) 50. I have a USB cable right here that I based it off of. Looking at it again, I guess it could be a bit rougher... One other addition I had thought of earlier, is model ac...

Hey Kram. Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was never too happy with the cone, I have it smoothed with the edgesplit modifier on, but looking at it again, I guess it did turn out kinda weird. I can try cranking up the poly count and disabling smoothing. One thing that bugged me was trying to get the rig...

(Latest of the "bright" series) Second is the new "dark" version, complete with little lights inside the shapes. (With scattering...) Third... is both versions gimped together, using the "lighten only" t...

You're talking about blender, right? It's in the file menu, "Append or Link", hotkey is Shift+F1. From there, just browse to your .blend file where you have the rabbit model, click on it, and then navigate your way through all the stuff you can append. I think you'd want to look under "Object" so yo...
