Thanks for testing. I'll try your workaround.
Appreciated.

Re: Sketchup - exporting errors (output error?)
Ok, the .skp extension is not allowed as an upload so I've put a OneDrive link below to the file. In theory though, anyone could test this by opening sketchup, setting the output and trying to export a 2D graphic - it took about 30 seconds to produce the image below, so if anyone was able to have a ...

Re: Sketchup - exporting errors (output error?)
Oh whoops I'm so out of date.
Mind you, I only have an Indigo 3.0 license.

Sketchup - exporting errors (output error?)
Hi All, Not sure if this is an Indigo issue or a Sketchup issue, but as it only seems to happen when using Indigo I thought I'd try here first.... Essentially I want to export a 2D graphic of my line work to underlay the colour render in Photoshop, but everytime I export, regardless of settings I ge...

Re: An error occurred while loading this IGM file
Hi Ono - thanks for the response. By 'read' does that mean I can do anything with them in v3, or am I only able to render with Indigo 4?OnoSendai wrote:Hi Bosseye, the latest SkIndigo can read these materials now. However it does target Indigo 4.

Re: An error occurred while loading this IGM file
Shame.
Its not me missing something is it, I can't see a way to tell which are v4 and which are v3?
They ought to be separated out really to save people (like me!) from thinking Indigo is broken.

Re: An error occurred while loading this IGM file
I'm still getting this issue. Are these textures v4 only?
I'm running Indigo v3.8.37 with SKIndigo v3.8.35 which are the latest downloads from the website for v3 I believe.

Re: Emitter not lit up
Ah, ok. Funny how I've never noticed this before, every day is a school day! Obviously my qiuick and dirty emitters aren't viable for this project (for speed I did a simple face with the emitting texture applied) What I've done then is make a spotlight in a marginally more realistic fashion - I've g...

Re: Emitter not lit up
Ok, thats interesting, thanks. I'm still confused though! How does one go about changing luminous flux etc? The only emitter options in SKIndigo appears to be emission scale - increasing this doesn't resolve the issue. 4.JPG See below, small spot light (50mm diameter), then one increased by 4x and t...

Emitter not lit up
Odd one - using an IES profile for my lights, works fine when the lights are a certain size. But when I make the area of the emitter larger it stops lighting up. So for example it all works find with a 50mm spotlight, but if I make it a 200mm spotlight suddenly the source doesn't light up/glow. What...

Re: An error occurred while loading this IGM file
Again, are you trying to import a v4 material into a Skindigo 3.8 version? Sorry, missed this one - I'm not sure. I'm using v3.8.26, my other PC is using the latest 3.8 version, but is there some dialogue in the materials page which tells me whether or not a texture is version 4 or not? I may have ...

Re: An error occurred while loading this IGM file
Thanks for the replies. I've just downloaded the files from the site again and same issue. To confirm, the error only comes when trying to import the material through the SKIndigo material editor in Sketchup.
I'm curious to know what the mystery 'error' is, the dialogue isn't telling me, heh.

An error occurred while loading this IGM file
All of a sudden I'm getting continual errors trying to import files downloaded from the Indigo material database. I download the material, try to import it via the material editor in Sketchup and I keep getting the message "An error occurred while loading this IGM file". I've always had the odd mate...

Re: Sketchup 2015 - Materials feault to phong
Huh, I did miss that discussion entirely! Yes, a curious decision I'd say, but nevermind. I can work around it.
And what happened to my thread title, how on earth did I manage to type 'feault' instead of 'default'. Whoops!
