Toy Tractor

Some recent fun renders -- although with me, nothing is ever "finished"...

Just had to add the grass in, couldn't resist.... Guess it could be a roll-up mat for a kid??

Re: 3dsmax scripts and plugins you find most useful.

Here are some that I use: chainTools (useful for rigging lamps and their wires): http://joleanes.com/scripts_plugins/chaintools.php GrabViewport 2.5 : http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/grabviewport-0 SoulburnScripts (all of them are superb, but I often use getCamerafromPerspective and Object...

Re: Recent Work

I like the last one in particular. Maybe add some road markings? The two images prior are looking good, but somehow I think the window reflections are off-putting. I think there needs to be a point of interest behind the windows -- like some curtains or blinds. Unless you intended for skyscraper sty...

Re: Public alpha release of IndigoMax

Well, in particular, there are some parts of Maxigo Scatter that should be migrated to IndigoMax in some form I think, especially the "Use diffuse map" option. Very underrated IMO. I have used it on numerous occasions and it works very well. For making a grass plane for example, I would rather choos...

Re: Public alpha release of IndigoMax

Can I ask Subpixel, what is the equivalent of Maxigo Scatter in IndigoMax? If hasn't been implemented already, what are the plans (if any) for this?

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

Good use of the trusty Greeble plugin, nice.

Regarding IndigoMax, it is about time that MAX got a decent exporter; Indigo being a quality renderer itself deserves it. I will keep following the IndigoMax thread for developments.

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

I am working with 3DS Max. Here's another update: the fur is a lot wispier now, this one looks MUCH better.

Converting the Hair and Fur modifier to mesh is tedious though, hence the 7.5M polygon level now...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

Teddy bear, now with added fur (and an extra 7.2 million polygons as a consequence :x )

Fur is out of control (although this might be subjective) in some places, so it is very much WIP...

Heading in the right direction, though.

Latest work - a teddy bear! Not rigged though. Now the tricky part is deciding how to texture it....

Re: Rocking Chair

I love renders like this. I second what Zeitmeister said.

Question: Can you elaborate on how you fitted the mapping so that it curves? Particularly, looking at the leg.

Motion blur works in the new max plugin too :D

Wow, great render! But can I ask, which version of Maxigo is the best to use with Max? The crashing problem has meant that I am still using 2.6.

Re: Not works at all in Sketchup 8 Pro + Indigo pluging scre

Common problem. Happened to me as well. This solved the problem for me: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprosecurity/thread/90c3202c-448b-42b7-acf7-dab8dba7b000/ It is due to some Active X scripts in the wrong place. In summary, go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows...
