About the trees; a tool I like to create bg trees with is arbaro.

http://arbaro.sourceforge.net/ It's simple to use and free!
Even though there are not many ready to go presets, you can create pretty much anything with it.

Would it be possible to set a save/update interval of let's say 5 seconds without Indigo overwriting the previous update but create a new image for each save of the same scene?
