In the first picture, there's a white rectangular on the driver's side. What is it?
A reflection of your emitter?

A nice modeling job, BTW :D

They are both competing for the same memory. Try to render a tiny scene and redo test. Does that mean more ram would definitely help? Isigrim I've never use 64bit before, but shouldn't you test your scene with Indigo 64 bit? Or 32 and 64 bit are pretty much the same in term of memory usage? (Except...

Quote zsouthboy, I've never used more than 2 uv sets.

Then again, some people who deals with more complicated object may use more than two.

Congratulations, BbB :D Tell you the truth, I'm not that exited. Somehow, I think you're very good at what you're doing. (I'm not using the word "talented" here because your success comes from practices, experiments and all the time you put into) So, having your work ended up on magazines, books or ...

Rendering HUGE image size and Supersamples can drain RAM out.

Try reducing image size (instead of 4000x3000 try 1024x768) and set Supersamples to 1, then see if the RAM usage will be reduced.

Hope this help.
