Just to chip in and say thanks for explaining that Zom-B, I was wondering why Aperture Diffraction kept crashing whenever I tried it... Although maybe my SuperSample level of 6 and 7MP image was to blame...
To OnoSendai, we're really grateful for the improvements....

BlueDark - Theme for Indigo Renderer
Hi all, I thought I should just share a quick theme for Indigo Renderer. I needed something that matched Max a bit more and was coherent across my two screens -- the default "Dark" theme isn't dark enough! Should work for the recent Indigo releases. Install into "Program Files\Indigo Renderer\config...

Re: Maxigo 3.0.7
Install Service Pack 1 and 2 for 3DSMax 2012. After that it should run fine.

Re: Public alpha release of IndigoMax
Question: if you are a current Maxigo user, can you move over to IndigoMax and everything stays as is? Or do you have to re-texture and set render parameters from scratch? I am guessing yes??

Another thing to add in the wishlist; double-sided materials and invisible lights.

Re: Maxigo workflow tutorial
First of all update 3dsMax 2012 first to SP1, then to SP2. That will fix the problem regarding Maxigo not starting Indigo upon export. Usual workflow is to use either Standard materials or use Indigo Material, Indigo Emitter or Indigo Blend. Apply them to your models etc etc. Decide if you are going...

Re: XMAS 2012 wishlist
Please consider this: -- giving the user the ability to change Indigo's Temp folder location. Problem is that if you use the exporter, you can choose your location fine. But if you load a scene manually into Indigo, it defaults to: Users/User Name/AppData/Roaming/Indigo Renderer I have just installe...

Re: Render crashes after an hour every time!
The throttling is handled by the motherboard though? BIOS handles CPU throttling. It monitors temps, and once too high, speeds are downclocked. I can't trust BIOS readings though, because their temperature readings can be misleading. For example if the temp sensor is located at the edge of the CPU ...

Promising stuff, Foxar. Don't know whether the sofa is meant to be like that, otherwise it looks to have too much bump. A bit of glossiness could help too.

Re: scattering plugin
Older versions of Maxwell Scatter work with Maxigo/Indigo. I tried them with trees, but textures are not applied correctly to the instances. For basic stuff like grass, it should work well.

Use larger textures to avoid tiling.

Try upping the voltage to the CPU within the BIOS.

Re: Best middle price CPU for Indigo?
Galinette, I also went from a Phenom X4 (940) oc'ed to 3.3 Ghz to a Core i7 2600K oc'ed to 4.7Ghz. Performance is much improved; the Erotica test scene as an example used to be around 400-600K with the Phenom, it is now near 1600K+ samples per sec with the Core i7. Temps are much controlled under th...

Re: Acreage - day and dusk
Awesome stuff, Whaat!! Second one is my favourite. Just curiosity rather than anything else, but the tiling on the roof -- it looks like it needs some anisotropy or something, it looks blurry.
