in GPU mode : Max path depth is limited to 100.
in some cases, it looks like this limit is too low, I guess.
I got black area when several flasks of glass are aligned

EDIT : oups !
there was an intersection of geometry between the objects. all is perfect now.

hi, importing .pigm file in C4D R19 is not correct in some cases. by example : from Online Material Database download "Matte Terracotta Octagon with Glazed Diamonds" (the first one) save it in .pigm try to link it using a material type external in C4D, the images are not present try to import it usi...

and there is some noticeable difference in transparency and reflection material

yes I experienced that. I've adapted my workflow and doing adjustement for a material on a single (lowpoly) object with correct lighting and a minimal environnement, so the restarts are faster. And when the material is ready I record the material's settings inside 3D host app or I save the material ...
