Re: furniture

Check the skp viewport shot few lines above: the tip is to hand make more geometry where the camera is located before subdividing the whole terrain..

With hinges it's possible too but more expensive. Here's a sample texture of the snow I took from the sketchup file. Settings of the material have p...

Re: Some new work

You're right! I think at the moment it's obligatory to learn other 3d apps for correct working linked meshes in skp, so congrats for choosing blender.

Re: furniture

Thank you!

Snow is melting here so: This is a project I made 2 years ago for a friend. It was supposed to be a hotel made of several cabins. No luck, the project didn' t come true. The design is very inspired on the Juvet landscape hotel in Norway.
Enjoy!

Re: Interior of business building

any tips for combining env map + interior light? It depends on the exr. you're using, some give more light than others; but if you have ligh layers, it's better to have your int. lights over powered in your 3d app and reduce it after in indigo. I think that adding those parameters, in an advanced p...

Re: Some new work

I agree with pibuz, that wall plaster looks good. I also like the shader you use in your glases, but maybe too strong on salk image. First render looks distorted to me, don't know if it's scale related or the field of view you choosed in skp. I also like 3rd image for the light and composition. The ...
