Re: External PIGS?

Oscar J > Pigq are for batch rendering, not really animation dedicated, because I do not think that (for example) a motion blur could be used in queue rendering like that. isn't it? In terms of file formats for animation, it is more something like Alembic, Pigq are basically just a list of .Igs+ass...

[REQ] MDL compatibility

I think there is an opportunity here to think about MDL. "Okay" this is Nvidia and originaly based for iRay, a kind of no-spectral renderers. But this Material Definition Language could be very interesting to prove that a spectral renderer don't give the same image than a pure faky RGB renderer actu...

Re: External PIGS?

oh! So in case when render an animation (1 PIGS with lot of .IGS with <scene> full of includes) may have some trouble? To my knowledge, actually the order is define by the sens of reading of the "mainscene igs", top to the bottom. The first include's line take 1000000 + UIDs, the second 2000000 + UI...

Re: External PIGS?

If you have settings and background material and camera in the sub-PIGS file, what's happens exactly? If i understand well, if you have a master PIGS, wiht an IGS, including a sub-PIGS then Indigo take the first igs of this sub-PIGS and avoid all settings/camera/background materials info. What's hap...

Re: 3Ds Max 2017, indigo max 0.5.0 and Forest Pack Pro

FYI, I've produced something like that once. I used Notepad++ to search and replace by regular expression to change all mesh ids. So, basically, I kept just 1 mesh and in all the "model2" I changed the uid accordingly to this mesh. This is not very stylish and could take some time when you handle hu...

I think that I have obtain the same kind of error one time.... let me explain: users\xxxx\Appdata\Roaming\Indigo Renderer\... Fills up as the thumbnails need to generate. After a while, your C: \ drive is full of tiny .PNG. You must empty this directory or ask to 3ds Max to not use Indigo renderer t...

Re: 3Ds Max 2017, indigo max 0.5.0 and Forest Pack Pro

You have to much objects in your scene, you need to Instanciate with a decent aera map and well scattering. Then you can export the grass then include it in the master file for more clarity. The real trick is to create a model of an instanciation of something larger than a few grass blades. Like a c...

Even for the lighting condition, such as materials, obtain the possibility to "save as" should be awesome.

Then, you can try to smooth the mesh directly by using:

Re: External background settings

Just to close correctly this topic.

This is totally possible.

Use the .igs created by the exporter and open this file as xml to copy paste what do you keep to keep

Just remerber to keep "<scenedata>..</scenedata>" instead of "<scene>..</scene>".

Feel free to ask if needed.
