Re: "Metal Pipe-thing..."

Thanks for this!
I'll try this as soon as I'm back home!
:D

Just to make sure:
I want to keep the physical scale, AND avoid having the camera blur effect.
That is to say having the ENTIRE model as "crisp" and "sharp" as it is in the middle part of the model.

Re: "Metal Pipe-thing..."

Hi again!

I'd like to get rid of the "focus blur" effect - how could I do this?

Maybe it comes from the fact that the model is very small (10cm), compared with the size of the camera focus.

Do you think that making the object bigger (1 meter) would do the trick?

Thanks!

Re: "Metal Pipe-thing..."

(sorry for not replying sooner, been away some time on holiday!) Thanks for your comment hcpiter , indeed a smoother linking between the 2 pipes would have added greatly, but doing this using Sketchup is nearly impossible to me... :( I've done some more work on a tap (see tap picture below), and I e...

Re: "Metal Pipe-thing..."

Hi! Just a quick update. The background will be no issue at all eventually: the client would like just a plain white background + alpha, since he wants to be able to insert the views in other documents. Here's what I showed him (before he told me he wanted just a white background), he was quite plea...

Re: "Metal Pipe-thing..."

I thought I could share back... What do you think about creating a new topic called "Royalty-Free HDRI resource" where everyone in the forum could post free HDRI links? http://www.debevec.org/Probes/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/10152791/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/10036562/ h...

Re: "Metal Pipe-thing..."

Thanks Suvakas, I'll try a studio setup (closed room with emitting objects for lamps).

Do you have a link for good (and free) HDRI maps on the web?

Many thanks again!

"Metal Pipe-thing..."

Hi all! New project coming up : I'm going to work on industrial pipe parts kind of things (I don't know what the name is in English...) I'm looking for photorealistic effect, but still can't get close enough to it. Any idea about how I could make the object look more "real"? I put the pipe-th...

Re: Renders not matching SU view

Hi all! I've started using SU7 not long ago. When I try to render the scene, it does not match AT ALL the SU view. I'm sorry, I'm at work right now so I can't send a proper Indigo image, but I've made one with Paint to show you what happens. It seems that the camera is over-zooming automatically, wh...
