Re: thin-sss?
Others would know better but he may be referring to the phase function approximation setting. Non-diffuse transmitters have long been proposed since DT's out (think Phong transmitter, with lobe control).

Re: Houdini plugin
Historically, with its freeware origins, it has always been exporters writers coming to Indigo with a solution for their host application.
I used to push users with requests such as yours to find willing developers in THEIR community (Houdini). They'd be welcomed !

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
No doubts about that !
There are several features of Indigo I have no use for atm: networking, licensing, GPU... that's the way it is.
Where did you find that quote from fused ? I still can't find it... will use search, no big deal. Thx !
edit: yup found the post, I did miss it sorry !

Re: [REQ] IGQ optimiziations for animation
PS: I think that your requests are totally making sense zeiti, although by animating the visibility of objects I can render very different scenes from the exported sequence. ie you are asking for a new option that would specify that the IGQ is an animation sequence and not a simple render batch, or ...

Re: [REQ] IGQ optimiziations for animation
I'm going to add my grain of salt now, because that discussion could last forever. It lasted for about 5 years already , ie: what's to distribute between the exporters and the main rendering engine as far as features go. 3D applications that support scripting/exporters (exporters can do everything, ...

Are you using light layers with highly disparate values ? A very very weak rim light could lead to this maybe (or a too strong main light)...contegufo wrote:Hi

Re: A natural situation
if you have the version of the cloud material that has got a haze option, you should use haze. Either what I'm afraid the shader specifies a value of zero below the clouds bottom, no matter what; it should be edited somewhat for your purpose. Sorry about the drawback :/ PS: you can set the value nam...
