Hey there!
Welcome on the boards!
What is your system, would you mind sharing the scene or at least post some SketchUp views? This might explain a lot.

Re: SkIndigo 3.4.12
I like to add that I cannot have enough nice words for Skindigo, it's actually the only reason I still use SU! :D It's true, it's true! Although I've been thinking a long time to make the jump to 3ds Max lately beacause SU is just way too unstable for slightly complicated models, but Skindi...

Re: Apple Brushed Aluminium?
I once made such a material, if I remember right the setup was as following: Material type: Metal Specular: light grey color, about 35-40 percent of grey Exponent: somewhere between 10 and 20 if I'm correct, could be slightly more, but definately not over the 100 I'll see if I can find the renders I...

Re: Loft interior / advice welcomed
Hey guys, Thanks for the advice and comments, I really agree on everything you say about making it "messy", I do have a library packed with models ready to use. Unfortunately the client thinks otherwise, he wants a classy, clean and expensive looking interior and no clutter.. I think it should be ac...

Loft interior / advice welcomed
Hey guys, I'm sure you are all familiar with that project that never seems to finish and you get struck on at some point.. Well this is one of mine, it is already taking around 8 weeks with tons of tweaks to be done each meeting. Unfortunately I lost track off all the tweaks, SketchUp is as good as ...

Re: Realistic fire
Hey CZTn, Thanks for the reply, I understand and I'll make sure to look at it, currently I have done my efforts through photoshop as I didn't find the time to play with it, should be doable this week though! About the gain, I have an error somewhere in the scene, I think I have an exit portal assign...

Re: Realistic fire
Hey guys! Tricky sure it is.. Been testing severall things, always this same result. I use a texture and a clip map, wether it's a transparent png or a clip map, always the same result: Didn't bother rendering for longer, as you can easily see what the problem is.. Also for some weird reason my sky ...

Hey Pikadili89, welcome! You're getting there, I agree with what Polinalkrimizei said, especially regarding the sofa, this takes away a lot of realism, there are a (few, very few) good ones on the 3D warehouse. This collection has some usable ones: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/cldetails?mi...
