Mate just wondering have you got anywhere with this material yet?

Cheers, Richard.

By the way mate I think the new IU is a better bet! One of the issues I personally had was when you opened a material in the editor it read keep the same and you had to go down and select one anyway as you couldn't be sure the material had already been set.

I see your point, but the free version has its limitations... But I suppose i could use the free 6 version to import a finished project and then render it with skindigo. I guess it's a viable workaround. As Whaat said the upgrade to 6 from 5 pro is free, and for the life of me mate I can't see why ...

Thank you Peter!!!!!!! I tried pool water with a bump map and for most shots the veiwing angle was too low and the water just looked blotchy. That was using glass with thickness! We need some smart cookie to devise a way to surface water and windows with a single plane material to avoid the refracti...

All great stuff mate thought I tried the blended material and enabling or disabling still ends up with clipped materials. Also how can I apply a bump map to blended materials if they did work. Man I don't know how you keep track of all this stuff! Thats good news about the instancing, will really he...

Kwisten Thanks mate I had already gone right through that instruction, cheers! I'm not having any major problems at all (except with glass / water) though it took me hours of playing with test renders to remember the same issue with maxwell originally when it took hours to get light through the glas...

Mate Remember Indigo is in beta and the best thing its working! The days of maxwell beta are very reminiscent of these. I'd imagine the outcome you are suggesting is most likely on its way in time and a working version more likely before a fully working version of maxwell! I will play with the big K...

Re: Questions 0.7.1 exporter

I am 99% certain you have reversed faces in your water. Check and reverse them with monochrome mode. Well that wasn't the problem, texture may have been applied to group. Didn't know though I needed to make glass specular material, thought I could make glass > glass! I removed the tonemapping setti...

Questions 0.7.1 exporter

I could obviously be dumb, but! 1. I cant for the life of me now get away from grey surfaced glass no matter what I now do. Seems to give reflection if I don't select glass from the drop down but soon as I do with thickness or not it goes grey! I tried a glass surface on the pool to replicate water....

Mate the camera issue is covered in another thread. I have to agree with both Maxwell and Indigo the inability at present to match SU output is a shame. By the way in ref to your question 3 the terms you might be suggesting are I would suggest Alpha (not Gamma) meaning an B/W image to separate your ...
