Re: Milk (regular) optimized

In the process of finding out I was dead wrong I made this, which to my surprisement doesn't render correctly in intercrap explorer.

Re: Milk (regular) optimized

PT only at 3k spp.
Looks like 500 sss is too much.

How do you get the liquid to "fill" the glass on the sides, like in real lifes?
Used about 0,3mm space between glass and milk.

Re: My past few years with indigo

That wood looks a bit small. Maybe get it up a lil bit... scale up, upscale... the wood... up... you know..... the wood texture... yeah, definately.

Re: Brushed Titanium

I mean use PACKED_1_Noise40Blur128Dark.png for both bump and exponent and you will get the same result, but this texture won't work well as exponent map anyway because of the tiny streaks and no larger details. For exponent values, base value (c) is exponent for black parts, and for white parts it's...

Re: Brushed Titanium

Your exponent map does nothing with 10000 - 10005 values, and you could use the same map for bump and exp. I don't know why you would want a brighter exp map. You could probably use a way smaller tiled map and never notice the difference with this kinda pattern. 10 min for motion blur? Photoshop use...

Re: Blendigo 2.6.x Betas

You need autohotkey to autoclick that bitch, or you will go mad! Ah yes, can you add the 'glass_acceleration' toggle in the next one too? I think it's already in there somewhere :?: Whoops, OK, found it! Sorry  Also, had to add '#!BPY' to the first line of the script for it to register in Blen...

So I guess this happens because PP AD is calculated at full SS resolution?

Re: Increase Dof

Well, if you wanted DOF on a 13 meter scene, you need to move the camera closer to the first sphere (a few meters away), as I bet the camera is pretty far away from both. The worldscale isn't there as a "DOF-fix".

Re: "non-linear" displacement maps

The time it takes to create a map like that, you would be finished modelling it instead, and for displacement you need high geometry so it's not really worth it.

Black-white-black gradient, then fiddle around with curves and levels.
