### Re: math question

TI-92 solves it like that:

sum(x³,x,a,b)=
-a^4/4 +a³/2 -a²/4 +b²(b+1)²/4

for a=1 and b=-5, you get 100

that sum simply works because TI is able to solve the general case

maybe, constant needs to be float? try 1.0 instead of 1... just a thought...

### Re: New site up

I don't really think, it's so hard: I'm not sure of the programming advancedness but I guess, it'd be like a list of URLs which could be automatically extended... like, just link to the different sections of the gallery and choose one of the pics randomly. More advanced would be, to prefer those pic...

right, i forgot the supersampling: width*ssf*height*ssf*32bit*3/8/1024/1024 (width*height)*ssf*32bit*3/8/1024/1024 or (width*height)*(ssf^2)*32bit*3/8/1024/1024 you know that in multiplication, writing something into () doesn't change the result, right? it should be width*height*ssf²*32/3/8/1024² o...

which kind of glass do you want?
Is there a special one?
You might want to try one of the schott-glasses, which are as physically correct as Indigo can do and feature many different types of glass

tiny light-sources often make problems... As it's rendering from Camera to Lightsource (to avoid dead rays), Indigo needs to randomly find a lightsource. A big emitting area allows faster convergance, as it's more likely to be found. That's also, why Indigo with more lightsources rather gets more ef...

just a hint: It's not rendered with Blendigo, that's only the exporter. It's rendered with Indigo ;) It's a nice animation, though you need to render it for far longer :) Indigo isn't really the renderer, one would use for animations... - It is possible but in decent quality and resolution, it takes...

Though, a specular mat with IoR 100+ (which actually is an unrealistic value - no mat has such a high IoR) will work perfectly fine as well

well, jukka, you've got 5 posts and not 2... so it wouldn't concern you, first of all...

and fused actually suggested such a phase. (Well, he didn't mention a mailed notification, though that should be included, too, I guess )
