Re: How to Use Motion Blur
I have noticed the error described here again and because there is no manual instancing anymore, I am not able to get the right result. Any suggestions? (I only moved the blue sphere along the red axis without rotation) Hi cotty, Make sure there are no nested groups or components inside the object ...

Re: SketchUp to Indigo issue
Hello and welcome to the forums!
First question: Is the Indigo application properly installed? Are you able to successfully launch Indigo?
I suggest that you take a look at the video tutorials for SketchUp to Indigo here:

Re: Grass with SketchUp
Nice result! As far as your question goes, I do not understand why you would have some much trouble orbiting a scene made up of thousands of single line components. From my experience, the performance is much improved. However, 40,000 line components is quite a bit. Most of my scenes probably have m...

SkIndigo 3.4.4b
Update August 22 - 2012: New beta now with normal map support! There's some new bugs lurking with IGM material import that I'm working on but I thought I'd release this anyway so you can start playing with normal maps. #Version 3.4.4b #Added: support for normal maps #Fixed: errors which occur when a...

Re: Displacement and UV maping...please help!
Hi Pikadili, Firstly, you should get all of the faces of the displaced material inside one group if possible, it will make things easier later. 1) Once you have done this, go to mesh settings for this group using the right-click context menu 2) Select a UV set that you want to edit 3) Select a UV te...

Re: Displacement and UV maping...please help!
Hi guys, I had started to create a tutorial for advanced UV mapping using SkIndigo. However, as I did, I found some bugs in the code! So, unfortunately, using multiple UV sets is slightly broken right now. You can create multiple UV sets using the right click mesh editor context menu. It works but i...

Re: Acreage - day and dusk
For me, I can quite easily orbit a SketchUp scene with many thousands of single line dummy grass components. Probably at some point, it becomes unmanageable but I haven't run into that yet. This is with a GTX 460M.

Re: Instancing
Hi, Instancing is handled a lot differently in SkIndigo 3.2. However, it shouldn't cause crashing. Instancing is done automatically now. In some cases, you may get faster export times if you explode your deeply nested components. For example, if you have a tree component, and it contains branch comp...

Re: SkIndigo 3.2.12 (3.2 Stable)
Hi Whaat! ..while waiting for the new normal map support feature to be integrated ( 8) ), I just wanted to ask you a thing: would it be possible to make the default sketchup material (not SkIndigo editable) to be exported as a diffuse material instead of what looks like oren-nayar? This because som...

Please post the SKP file, maybe there is a problem with the export from SkIndigo.

Re: Acreage - day and dusk
Only thing: beware of blank-skyed windows 8) The little pines are excellent indeed: what collection do they come from? The little pines are Scots Pines from Xfrog. (3D). All plants and trees are 3D. I am bit disappointed in the Xfrog library pre-made library trees. Some trees are quite nice but a l...
