SkIndigo 3.6.16 (beta) - updated 27 June 2013

Hello, This is a beta release and it has not been tested very much. You need Indigo 3.6.0 or greater to use this version. Re: Problems with SketchUp 2013 and Skindigo 3.4.12

Wow, I would have thought that the SketchUp devs would communicate such critical changes to other devs of associated products? Actually, I was on the beta testing team for SketchUp 2013 and I tried to get the devs to fix this issue on their end. I was hoping that they would fix it before release bu...

Re: Can't load Indigo

How did you install SkIndigo? It seems like an installation error.

Re: New SketchUp 2013 and Skindigo 3.4.12

Hello, I just bought the latest version of Sketchup and put the plugin skindigo in the plugin folder. Sketchup recognize skindigo without any problems, except for one thing: When I want to manage a material, I click on the "Material Editor" icon and I get an error that appears (I have a screenshot)...

Re: Problem loading textures

What version of skIndigo are you using? This was a problem with an older version of skIndigo but it should not be present in the current stable version.

lape wrote:Just another noob question, but where do i find the new material? Just installed 3.6.8, or is it not available for SkIndigo?
Not yet, hopefully soon. You can still use it by creating the material with the Indigo GUI and then creating a 'Linked IGM' material in SkIndigo.

Re: Section Planes and "realistic" shadows

Firstly (and this may be more of a Skindigo request), If a section plane is active in the modelling program, I think it should be enabled in indigo, what you see should be what you get. Currently you must enable the section cut for indigo rendering, it'd be sweet if it was automatic ;) I agree, thi...

Re: Exporter update

..I've been recently using massive amounts of emitting materials, and I find that I'd rather put the "emission" parameter under the "emitter attributes" panel, instead of the current position (among the "material attributes" tab). For me, at the moment the GUi can be misleading.. Yeah, I was recent...

Re: Exporter update

It's possible to update the exporter (Sketchup) with some of the feature introduced with version 3.6.6? Thanks. Hi Noldo, It is being worked on, albeit not as quickly as I had hoped. Next version will have support for coating materials, spherical cameras, and hopefully double-sided thin materials a...

Re: SkIndigo 3.4.12

Indeed. The effect I want to achieve is not only controlled by the opacity of the SketchUp material (the blend factor, in short terms), but mostly by its base color hue: too dark colours will result in no pass-through materials.. A dark coloured green tone won't allow any light to pass it even at t...

...OR you could add this wonderful prevew scene in the skindigo preview scene list for a change!   ..maybe substituting some less used ones... I am currently working on preview scene related stuff in SkIndigo...stay tuned. I am not sure if I would add this scene to SkIndigo u...

Re: Material Preview Scene

Yes that's gorgeous. I tried IMMEDIATELY to install it, but somehow SkIndigo keeps rendering the elder preview scene.. I am missing something.. It won't work for SkIndigo because SkIndigo uses a preview scene that is installed inside your SketchUp plugins folder. Don't bother trying to install it t...

Re: Sketchup crashes whenever Material Editor is clicked

Only thing I can suggest right now is that it could be conflicting with another one of your plugins. Can you try temporarily removing all plugins except SkIndigo and see if that fixes it?

Re: Wishlist

One request: when switching to monochrome render would it be possible to exclude the specular obects? The classic case is when one has to evaluate the lighting conditions of an indoor scene, but if there are glasses at the windows the light won't come through. hmmm....I thought that it was already ...
