It's much easier to make a sphere, but I wonder, if you modeled it as a cube with a disturbed upper surface (like smartDen's underwater scene), you might get some variation in the volumetric lighting?

ok, so in order to fix the xml and make it render, I had to go in and replace any 'light' material assigned to a triangle set with a "null" material. probably because the <meshlight> handles everything (explains why the light material in Blendigo is not present in the xml) and the material tag is in...

SceneLoaderExcep: The Mesh 'object_6437_copy_.247' tried to

Using Blendigo, I am getting the error: SceneLoaderExcep: The Mesh '***' tried to use the material '***', which has not been defined. I opened up the xml and indeed the light materials have not been exported. For some reason this is only occurring with the light materials in my file. I could write t...

I ended up going back into my modelling program and exporting with normals export disabled, and now the blend file is correct. With normals all pointing outward, Indigo is rendering the glass as transparent. I think, really, I need to figure out Blender's modelling system so I don't have to go back ...

sorry I disappeared there. End of week distractions.
It appears that when I imported into blender the normals of every object were reversed :x The glass is 1/8" and I set the absorption to 0, so it shouldn't effect anything.

glass seemingly not transmitting light

When I export a model from blender to Indigo 0.7t4, the glass appears black and does not transmit any light. Even after transferring the exact settings from the 'ior_test.xml' for the glass medium and material, I still get the same result. This makes no sense to me as it works fine in the test scene...

Hi Wedge,
I was using the 0.6 exporter because the 0.7 one isn't in the downloads section, but I just noticed your script in the forum and will try it out tomorrow. Much more preferrable than manually correcting the code 8)
Thanks

I'm trying blender export to indigo 0.7t1 [using the stable 0.6 exporter]. I've been executing indigo, reading the error message, correcting the xml and repeating. I've made it through the materials and the smooth normals changes. Now I'm getting; "SceneLoaderExcep: Rotation matrix must be orthogona...
